Day 1: aromas of melon, peach, grapefruit, and jasmine on the nose. Tastes of cantalope, grapefruit, white flowers, and salinity on the palate. Medium bodied with medium(+) acidity. Long, saline finish.
Day 2: the nose became a little more tropical with the addition of aromas of banana which took me by surprise. Tastes of melon, grapefruit, citrus pith, and salinity on the palate.
This was drinking superbly. Great texture, elegant, and enjoyable!!

Watery hay color. Nice minerality, firm acidity, no oxidation in this bottle. More texture than flavor. Good with ricotta. I wonder if this can improve.

Light gold. Smooth, minerally with nice texture in mouth. No fruit. Needs food. This had perfect cork, so oxidation was just a hint on finish. My other bottles have slightly depressed corks, so probably not as good. Probably best at 3 years from vintage.

01.04.17 - First bottle/tasting: Bracing with crisp acidity, lime peel, chamomile, and minerality; however, it's quite austere and fades quickly. It begs for food and paired nicely with garlic, parsley, lemon and olive oil rubbed Lake Superior Whitefish as well as Walleye in a caper and beurre blanc sauce. Needs time to integrate and balance the zippy acidity, but we're skeptical it will get there. 02.04.17 - Second bottle/tasting: Add white peach and tarragon to the lime, chamomile and minerality. Some of the sharp acidity has smoothed out a bit, which increases our original 86 score to an 88. Paired well with baked Snook in a lemon, garlic, white wine and Parmesan crust. Still fairly one dimensional, but good; however, it's a moderate qpr at $22 per.

Very lean and crispy, good length. Cries for Food. Nice wine but a bit to one-dimensional for my taste and for the Price Point at 18.- Euros. No idea if this will improve with Age but I´m afraid there is not much to come.

Pale yellow. Prototypical Sancerre aromas-grapefruit zest and quinine. You don't even have to taste it to get the juices flowing. Light with an extra layer of texture, although not as unctuous as, say, Cotat. Interestingly, for Mellot, very little wood imprint. Racy and bracing with ripe fruit and flavors completely in sync with the nose. This is the best Moussière I've had in a while; it has a touch of pleasing finishing austerity which bodes well for further development.

The wine looks straw colored. It exhibits aromas of grapefruit, lemon peel and honeysuckle. On the palate you have grapefruit, floral scents and some hay. The body is light/medium. The wine has high acidity.

We had this wine with grilled swordfish...very nice! The wine has citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime. It has a hint of hay but not so much as to take away from the beautiful fruit. This is a very well balanced wine with good acidity to pair very well with fish.

Popped, poured, consumed over next two evenings. Solid. Sees a bit of wood, but hardly noticeable until 2nd evening when it began to unravel a bit. Very enjoyable at first, but did not develop well in the glass. The underlying fruit receded. Might need a few years in bottle to integrate and reveal its potential.

From first sip, the terroir is predominant, with florals and spring fruits following. Needs more time in the cellar before next one. [By day 2, the had smoothed and emerged to become an outstanding Sancerre]

Nose was subtle with floral and fruit notes. In the mouth it was youthful, though very little oak, with a lovely balance of acidity and a great body. This will be excellent in a couple of years time but is very approachable now.

Just where I like Sancerre. Lively but smooth. Hint of damp cellar adds interest, does not detract from enjoyment. Drink soon.
