A little bit austere. It’s fruity, sweet beginning with cherry nose. But then bitter dry mid taste and short ending. It was ok with a monday night sheppeard pie.

Ouvert 2 heures d’avance, on décide de ne pas le carafer car il est très fruité, un peu rond mais très beau. Encore primaire, il accompagne très très bien le boeuf du BBQ.

Typical Pessac Léognan. Tastes of red fruits, blackberry, plums. Very voluptuous and expressive Quite a long final. Perfect pairing with roasted lamb and cèpes mushrooms

This ruby hued Bordeaux has aromas of peat, liquorice and dark red fruit. Tobacco, red cherry and plum on the tongue. Medium bodied with a long finish. No surprise that it paired very well with steak and chimichurri.

Okish. Initial impression in the glass not too bad but fading quickly. Deep ruby. Medium intensity. Quite ripe black forest fruit. Some earthiness, leather, violet. After some time a bit astringent though. Not sure it will improve. Drink now. @finewine.explorer

Double decanted about an hour before serving with marinated and grilled flat iron steak. Modest nose of cassis that persisted into the initial flavors of cassis, leather, and touch of wood and spice. Medium tannins that were slightly drying but not bitter, and a good finish. This wine is, of course, very young, and should improve for several years, bit it is drinkable now with a bit of decanting and aeration. Look forward to comparing it over time with the 2012. Created in 2002, Clos Marsalette is a consistently good wine for the value.

Maintenant bon en PNP. Non carafé. Fruits noirs, un peu de poivre, des notes chocolatées. Encore tannique mais entre dans une fenêtre intéressante.

Slightly better than previous bottle - an average bordeaux but nothing overly exciting. @finewine.explorer

Taste profile similar to the 2012 vintage, with comparable good acidity. More approachable already, with some decanting.

Bu en succ.
Super velouté et fruité avec de beaux tannins et une finale tout en soie.
Excellent!

Coffee, smoke and dark red fruits shape a soft, fresh, tobacco-singed wine that will drink quite well in its youth. 89-91 Pts
