What strikes in the mouth is the incredible salinity that dominates in this wine. The juice is pure, racy, without falling into the straightness of many Blanc de Blancs champagnes. Everything is chiseled in this wine, the effervescence is fine, the acidity is traceable, in the service of the balance of the wine. Nice tonic on the sea spray with a nice length.
Excellent, especially given the unfavorable conditions of the 2011 vintage in champagne.

Dinner with the wine group (Terun, Palo Alto): Light golden; aromatic, apple, brioche; lovely mousse, balanced, medium acidity, balanced alcohol, excellent fruit and bready balance; finish is medium-long. Stellar for the vintage, nice champagne. 92-93

This has put on some depth/weight, and is in a better spot right now than the last time I tried it. Upon release: tropical fruits gave way to reedy/grassy quality... now it’s a toasty richness. Beautiful.

Much tighter, more serious and circumspect than other bottles have been. After many delicious, if not particularly deep bottles I do wonder if this is shutting down finally. Have half the bottle to try tomorrow.

Quite nice. Wonderful sauve texture, mineral, acidic lemon fruit. Less full than his wines can be and rather short on finish but One of the best 2011 champagnes I’ve had (which isn’t saying that much).

Tasted with a lot of distractions in an informal setting. This was based on the 2011 vintage. Slightly sharp but nice and aromatic with notes of citrus, wet stone, some chalk and and also some smoke. It's medium+ bodied with medium+ acidity and good length. Not exactly on the level of some of the best vintages but still a pretty Champagne.

SLDS June 2016: Apple, orange peel, cherry, floral and some yeast - quite open and expressive nose. The acid line zings and zips across the palate, the focus here is excellent. Delicious stuff.

Corton-Charlemagne & Corton Dinner (Imperial Treasure Shanghai, Ngee Ann City, Singapore): Really nice – I actually enjoyed this more than a bottle of Henri Giraud Fut de Chene that we drank alongside. This was a very vinous champagne. It smelt like a white Burg, with a touch of sweet oak, wafts of creamy white fruit and little drift of flowers. Quite pretty. On the palate, a fine, lacy mousse and subtly fresh acidity worked their way through precise little white fruited, before The finish then glided away with a nice kiss of minerality. Not as deep and powerful and showy as the Henri Giraud, but this was beautifully balanced and poised and drinking nicely now. With its lovely shape though, it should also age wonderfully over the next decade or so. Very good.

This was a noticeable step-down from the 2010 base that we had days prior. It was served too warm which didn't help the experience but clearly 2010 is the better year for this great Champagne.

Classy bdb nose of lemon confit with some pleasing herbal notes. Beautiful delicate mousse, tart lemony finish, hint of saline. Very good.

Probably the most disappointing bottle to date of this, just kind of muted.

One of the better 2011 champagnes I’ve had. Quite linear and lean but does have that vegetal edge.

This was a grumpy glass of Champagne. Hard and disjointed. Not sure if it's the vintage or just an off bottle/day.

Fremstår litt nedskalert både i konsentrasjon og intensitet i denne årgangen, men lett gjenkjennelig. 90p.
