Lys rød, delikat farge. Aroma av mørke bær og skogbunn. Mild, rund i munnen. Syren kommer i etterkant og varer lenge etter. Ikke feil til en Cote De Boeuf av kalv med selvplukkede kantareller.

Magnum. Nice ruby red. Wonderful nose with cherries, strawberryjam. Some roses and floral notes. Great balance and fine grained tannins. Not the most complex barolo, but very enjoyable. Some Vosne-Romanee similarities. Good intensity and concentration. Very enjoayble now. 91p

As someone previously said - quite lightweight and elegant.
Nice red fruits and good acidity, fantastic balance and almost unnoticeable alcohol - quite silky (and pretty), in fact. I was umming and ahhing as to what to pair with some aged hard cheeses we had, and this fit the bill perfectly. A really nice and well-made wine.

Best after about 45 minutes in the decanter, seemed slightly darker colour than the previous bottle (though that was some 18 months ago, so I my memory may not be what it was!).
Again, main focus on red fruits, with cherry taking the centre ground. Seemingly very low tannins (caveat - I like tannic wines, and for a Barolo), and medium acidity, leading to what I can only describe as a soft mouthfeel.
Again, not sure it's built for a very long life, but that's no impediment to enjoying it now.
With Rognons a la Lyonnaise. Barolo always seems at it's best when paired with umami-rich foods, and certainly this was.

Eclectic Piedmont Tasting (SF Wine Trading Company): Light ruby core, gently fading to the edge. Fragrant floral and tobacco aromas. Lighter weight, very elegant feel. Faded red fruits, rising tobacco and tannin on the finish. Not a blockbuster but very fine and stylish.

Quite pale ruby with some browning. Inviting nose--forest floor and a ripe fruity "sweet and sour" element as another taster noted. Quite smooth and resolved, if just short of fine in my opinion.

Without being particularly racy or exciting, this is a well made Barolo. I'd echo previous tasters that this is a much more fruit-forward and medium bodied. Cherry dominant, it has not quite got the acidity that I normally like and associate with Barolo, nor does it seem overly tannic.
We gave it a 2 hour decant, but I'm not sure it needs it. Not entirely convinced this is built for the long haul, but no rush just yet.

App: dark red Aroma: cherries, spice, leather, hint of alcohol. Medium-bodied with lively acidity and discrete tannins. Concentrated with meaty texture. "Sweet and sour" cherries on the palate. Very good length. (90)

Rose på nese. Lav syre, men balansert.

Pure cherry, floral notes and sweet spices. Juicy palate with a warm mouth feeling. Long finish of sour cherry and green herbs. A very nice everyday Barolo.

Iexpect this to equal Wine Spectator's 93 in another 5 years. It has too much strong tannin now. Nose superb.

Rød-brun farge. Lukter av skogbunn og kjølig frukt. Fyldig og sammensatt frukt. Våt stein. Frisk syre (retning sitron) i avslutningen. Høy alkohol.

Terrakotta-farget. Lukt av bær, skogbunn og lær. Sammensatt smak, herlig, moden frukt, kjølig, avslepne tanniner. Tørr, lang ettersmak. For Lars.

Dekantert. Mindre frukt enn Massolino. Super dag 4, faktisk.

Solid Barolo. I drank a bit too early though, needed to open up a bit more. Would highly recommend none the less

More fruit forward than earthy. Dried cherry, sage, green pepper, and definitely a floral component. Really good straight from the bottle.
