Seriously great wine with quality oak spices, but way too early to drink. This bottle is sleeping and fails to reveal itself after 5 hours of decanting...I’m not gonna touch the rest of bottles in 3 yrs.

Western Australia Wine Tasting (Australia House, Strand, London): The oak is strong, ripe red and black fruit, herbal, garrique, forest floor, leafy. The palate shows nice red and black fruit, spicy, leathery, gamey, oaky, spicy, tobacco, med body, tannins and med to long finish.

Australia trip; 3/25/2017-4/10/2017 (Australia): At estate. Bottle opened for 24h at cool room temperature. Dark fruit, tobacco, oak well integrated, good finish. This seemed to have more weight and dark fruit than the 2014, which was fresher with also red fruit. Might however be also due to the bottle being open for a day. Both 13 and 14 were excellent, both wines however clearly overshadowed by a superb bottle of the 11 that day. For me Woodlands makes the best Cab in Margaret River.

Decanted for 2 hours which clearly helped, consume over 2 hours from the bottle. Elegant & long finishing. Hold or drink with proper decant.

This was a well balanced concentrated Cab Sav, drinking very well after 8 years, long finish, medium body, tannins are balance with lower acidity.

Smoky dark berries on nose
Cool, smooth initial mouth-feel. Soft tannins, dark berries, touch of olive in rich-textured mid-palate; tannins continue long on finish
