  • OK, so my Holiday "yak"
    Deep copper colored, viscous
Powerful alcohol off the nose, raisins, caramel, all spice...amazing nose
Hot to the tongue, and down the throat, but mild belly burn. Long finish.
So much going on here. Like a Christmas fruitcake soaked in brandy. Such a beautiful experience, and an amazing QPR when classed with its competitors. This should be in everyone's bar.

  • This should be the new Courvoisier XO expression, without "Imperial"; pretty much the same in the nose, with raisins, nuts, tangerines, and some yellow flowers; also creamy and juicy on the palate, but perhaps a bit less complex, with chocolate, honey, ripe grapefruits, prunes, and soft wood spices; the finish seemed to be longer yet showing slight bitterness and dryness in the aftertaste; overall, 90-91 points.
