Excellent Time? Bottle variation? I don't know. I wrote two years ago "This seemed to have been better younger. Not sure what to make of this. Quite ripe and dense, coming out with vanilla on PnP." Well, this bottle was great on PnP and over a couple hours with and without dinner (pan-fried chicken with pan mustard sauce - shallots, wine, herbs, etc.) And that's about all of a tasting note you'll get out of me, because I just flat out enjoyed it. Sure, the fruit is "sweet", but not in an obvious way, there's some spice, cherry, some darker tones, some earth. Smooth, easy, but not boring.

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of tar, leather, black cherries and plums. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and plums. Medium acidity, medium tannin, full bodied. Drink over the short term.

This seemed to have been better younger. Not sure what to make of this. Quite ripe and dense, coming out with vanilla on PnP. After a glass+ the bottle was set aside, capped, and the following night decanted for a couple of hours. The air helped it blow of sweet tones, but it remained dense and really not varietally expressive.
I got my bottles at a local retailer that (at the time) seemed reputable, but where I never shop, because it's out of the way. I bought them because the price was so good - $36. (Yes, these bottles are the '14 AM Juliard Vineyard.) It would be an odd wine to counterfeit, but stranger things have happened. (My purchase note includes "I placed an order for the Maresh Vineyard but they actually had this only and that is what I received and I agreed to keep it.". So there's that, too.)
Still, Good++ wine. 13.4% abv. I'd have guessed 14%(+).

Dusty and smoothe and resolved. A tiny bit on the candied side of well balanced, but I like this quite a terrible bit. It smells and fills (the mouth) and lingers, and while there’s no calling card per se, it’s a great Dundee wine.

This is really nice. It's medium bodied and dominated by cherries, with an added spice (maybe even a touch of paprika?), cotton candy, and savory earth/meat thing going on. Finish is mouth coating and long.

Pale red with very slight reflections of ruby. Much more settled than it was two years ago, this offers a fruit-driven nose with aromas of briary red cherry, black cherry, cola, roobios tea, and topsoil. Medium+ bodied on the palate with medium+ acidity and lots of easy fruit flavors. Interesting to see this has become less savory with time.

Nice, but one dimensional and a touch of heat. Not sure if this goes through a closed phase. Hopefully, that's where it's at currently. A good+ / very good wine, but nothing distinctive. [Edit: Changed from 86 to 88 based on ~2 ounces left in the bottle overnight. That showed more spice and complexity. So there's evidence that this needs are at this point in its evolution.]

Wow! Beautiful! This affirms my appreciation for Dundee Hills Pinot Noir some in an restrained, elegant style. We brought this into Dundee Bistro last night to share with family and pair with the bone in pork chop with braised cherries. The wine was impressive on its own and terrific with the pork. I want to go buy more.

Realize this wine is a baby, but needed to pair with butternut squash soup. Popped and poured. First sniff was extremely tight, so made myself a cocktail to allow the wine to open up for an hour. Nose had wet mushroom, and an olive brine aroma. Palate had young and aggressive tannin structure that needs a bunch of time to settle into. Later in the evening, the nose closed up and the wine just wasn't giving much feedback. Quill revisit next bottle in 3-5 years to see how it's evolved.

At dinner alongside a number of other wines, drink very well from PnP over a couple hours, great purity, transparency, some minerality, put on some pleasing weight as the night went on. ~1/3 of the bottle kept overnight was good, but a bit too heavy, and lost some of the beautiful perfume it had the first night.

Hard to take notes when you can't stop sipping. Man, this is an elegant beauty. What can I say? Pure Pinot fruit, nothing between that and your lips. With air it develops some spice and earth. I may need to pick up more bottles to lay down here...

Pale red. A complex and almost wild nose matches notably ripe cherry and dried raspberry aromas to quite savory sous bois, dried red flowers and spice notes. Medium+ bodied on the palate with deeply ripe fruit flavors that seem remarkably airy, finishing with a bit of grip from fine tannins.

This is a fantastic Pinot from Maresh who may not have access to the Juliard vineyard in the future. Stock up on this smooth and expressive Pinot.

I love the way this wine marries earth, spice, and fruit. Drink or wait. Either way, this Pinot will provide oodles of pleasure.
