Candied tropical fruits (pineapples, mangoes), tree fruits (apples, pears), dried herbs/grass, orange marmalade and honeysuckle - evidence of botrytis for sure. Medium finish. Not bad.

This was excellent!!! One of the best dessert wines. I think this is usually very expensive. We drank w mom at end of 2016 trip. It was a gift from her. Excellent acidity, complexity and finish.

A private lunch (Restaurant Geranium ***, Copenhagen, Denmark): A blend of 60% Welschriesling and 40% Chardonnay. An intriguing combination of tropical fruit and aromatic herbs, juicy and sweet, medium weight, hint of vanilla, fresh, nice complexity and length.

Unsurprisingly a step up compared to the Auslesen tasted before. More of a honeyed, dried fruit character on the nose. Exotic fruit, with more richness. Still good freshness and lift, slightly spicy, very good length. 90-91+

Ja, das ist ein verlässliches Süssweinding. Aber nicht mehr...
Botrytisnase, etwas Karamell, einigermassen gute Säure.
Ja, im Restaurant zum Käse bin ich froh, so etwas glasweise zu finden - never ever in my celler!

As always, a very good sweet wine with good balance and some honeyed unctuous complexity.

Tasted this at "Wine Country Austrian- Wine Tasting" Masterclass at Prowine Asia 2016.
Good balance between acidity and freshness. Ripe fruits including figs and candy, mango and marshmallows were evident. Clean finish.
Simply heavenly.
