  • Held up extremely well. Still has depth to it. Pop and poured. Beautiful nose and delicious taste.

  • Wow this wine drinks like it is 10 years younger. Pours dark. Great nose. Medium concentration and still firm tannin. Nice lingering finish.

  • Saturated dark ruby color. Ripe aromas of blackcurrant, black cherries, chocolate and subtle hint of eucalyptus/mint. Medium bodied. Lush on entry followed by juicy black fruits wrapped on dark cocoa powder. Secondary flavors of beef blood (rare steak), cigar box and leather. Perfect accompaniment to short ribs. At peak.

  • Nose of sweet charcoal and burnt cherries. Chocolate and burn cherries with a hint of toasted wood. Well integrated tannins with a medium finish.

  • Really interesting. Vanilla, coffee and black cherry on the nose. Black cherry and strawberry flavors. Nice acidity gives a fresh feel. Balanced with lighter body. The wine is lush upon entry but loses steam in the mid-palate and a shorter finish but very enjoyable.

  • Wine tasting group. Decanted 9 hours prior, but needed more time, as it was still developing in the glass.
Vanilla oak and currant on nose, on palate, strawberry and black fruits, with undertones of tar, leather and pencil lead. Medium - long finish. Also tasted the 2007 and really hope that develops to be like this.

  • Improved over three days and was really peaking on day #3. Disjointed and hot out of the bottle but became very balanced with a nice long finish by my last glass days later. Fragrant with vanilla, chocolate chip cookie and plum on the nose. Spice, sweet red/blackberries (a slight stewed quality). Lush but not velvety. Great QPR

  • On the nose, toasty black cherry and cassis - the sonoma character really comes THROUGH here. In the mouth, silky smooth lush wine with sweet black cherries, a touch of vanilla and some spice. I'm very impressed with this wine at this price point, for $33 it over delivers and drinks like a wine nearly double its price. Great mouth feel and a decent finish. I will try to get more of this wine.

  • I was hoping for a little more, though I did really like this wine. Color and nose were nice and length/finish was very nice too. I would say this was a high quality wine and very well made. Also, I really liked the cherry flavors. I felt like I could really tell that this wine had a sense of place. The problem was I didn't feel it was complete for a cabernet. The flavors were a bit lighter and concentrated on the front of my mouth - I felt like there was a hole in the palate and that the flavors were not quite deep enough for a great cab. All that being said, it was really pleasant and VERY interesting - a different cab experience.

  • Super dark purple tinged edges. Beautiful floral nose with currants, blackberries, and Cherries. The palate revealed a very lush sweet styled cab. One I would not expect from the vintage. There was amazing sour cherries, currants, and sweet young blackberries as well as some tar, slight anise, and sour cherries. (didn't I say that already?). A solid core of pure Sbragia Cabernet. There was a moderatly long finish that kept the fruit going for 45 seconds (sour cherry and currant). I loved the balance of fruits and deft acid level. The firm tannins were in check, but hanging in the background. Wow. This guy is an artist!!

This is one fantasic wine for $26. Drinks like $50.
