Tried half an hour after opening, didn't decant and it wasn't needed.. Very pretty, juicy mix of red and black fruit. Nose a bit muted, especially when compared with the palate. It tastes just like a good merlot should, which raises the questions why so many offerings of this grape don't taste like this one. The vibrant fruit sets it apart from BDX and points towards southern Tuscany. Tannins resolved, wood integrated, fruit has not faded, all components held together and structured in a user friendly way......The finish is fine, not overly long. I am impressed, this bottle was in the sweet spot.

A good and juicy wine but much like of its kind and at this young age also lacks a charming side. Nothing to fault it just a bit one dimensional at this stage and frankly in coldish post lockdown London outside dinner was not ideal. Felt like a 90, 91 at best

Beautiful plums, currants, blueberries, chocolate, creamed strawberries, and a floral aspect. Medium full bodied with excellent drive from the acidity and chalky tannins that carry the long finish.

This wine from the Bolgheri region just outside of Florence is more of a Cab wine. At a wine party those that liked it really did! Bold balanced moderate bodied wine. But other(s) did not care for it, not sure why. Great wine comparable more to a Napa cab or Bordeaux

rich dark fruits, sharp acidity, medium + tannin, kind of chocolatey and coffee like flavours in the background. Well integrated and balanced, but not quite my cup of tea. It hit the spot in terms of being a big and elegant wine with all the right pieces in the right places.

This is very good. Smooth, thick and dark with dark fruit and chocolate notes. Long lovely finish, almost oily on the palate but still present structured tannin. Will age well.

This still needs time. Dark and thick, with aromas of black fruits, chocolate, some coffee. Rich tannins and fresh acidity. With another couple of years of bottle age, this will be more fully integrated and showing more complexity. Drink 2020 onwards.

A week in Tuscany (and Lots of wines); 10/19/2015-10/21/2015 (Tuscany, Italy): My first time trying this wine (or hearing about it). Served with lunch at Antinori. Inky purple in color. The nose is nice with black cherries and a bit of milk chocolate. On the palate, this is a forward, fruity Merlot but with enough structure to hold up and make it interesting. Some complexity. Nice cherry flavors with some floral and cocoa notes on the palate. The finish works well. I doubt I would guess it to be Italian blind, but knowing that, there is enough acidity to work well with lunch. A delicious wine for sure that will probably get better.

Still good, but unlikely to improve further. Decent but one-dimensional fruit, not overly complex and a bit too hot.

Coming around. Needed a long decant. Give it another year or so and this should be in its prime.

In a good spot now. Rich, silky, showing good fruit. On the downside a bit alcoholic heat.

dark ruby red, dark berries - blackberry, blackcurrant, mild bret - flaw on the nose but beautifully integrated, long aftertaste (1min+)
Had it not had traces of bret the score would be higher
Score: 90+
