Gave the wine hours of air before trying. Soft tannins that barely dry my palate. More red fruits than dark fruits but the fruit is more in the background than the palate. Not a bold wine at all but also not feminine. I feel that the wine is slowly showing its age an isn’t as flamboyant as it probably once was. I didn’t try it in it’s youth but that’s my guess. Easy drinker. Doesn’t need food. Lasting finish but not anywhere near spectacular.

With NY Strip…. Opening-Very herbal, sappy, cassis, licorice, glycerin and long. Slight blackberry sour note. After 60 minutes it Developed much darker profile and was very smooth.

One of the better wines o have had in quite some time I enjoyed the overall balance and velvet of this wine. Simply put; soft mouth on the front, slight herbs with gentle fruit and a long finish. Last bottle, with heartache. We need a “love it” option.

Unexpectedly, this was NOT past its prime. Definitely a $100 bottle. Classic Napa Cab with a lovely fruit nose. Plenty of dark fruit on the tongue plus chocolate, leather, cassis, and a hint of black licorice. Tannins fully tamed. A short-to-medium finish, complex enough. Does not disappoint.

SLDS July 2020 - Re-United: Liquorice, jubes, blackcurrant on the nose. Well made, not that exciting but the fruit power is composed with no rough edges to it. Feels very competant.

This has improved so much since it was first released. Still nice fruit profile, but everything very well integrated now. Seems to be right in its prime drinking window.

Solid beauty - decanted 30 minutes, had a nose of Cherry (red), a bit oak, and tabacco. On the palate, it was fruit forward of mixed berries, and a nice velvety finish. Overall, a nice stags wine with shallow tannin - very nice - and can be approached easily now.

This wine has lots of dark fruit with a touch of anise and some really good earth. The flavors are big and the wine had a good long finish. Very enjoyable bottle!

Tasted at pickup party A solid cab right now, with definite upside potential. Drinks well now with a good decant. Has 5-10 years of aging ahead of it which will increase this score.

Soft and pretty CA-fruited heavy; easy to drink but not very inspiring.

Eleven year old and still drinking very nicely. It was a great Father's Day wine with my son. I wish I had more.

We let this decanter for 1.5 hours. Opened up very nice. Velvety tannins, nice and smooth. Notes of dark fruit, cherry, plum. Licorice and chocolate

Persistent nose of petrol/litter box. Flavors were acidic and off at best. Returning this. Cork was pristine.

Medium/full bodied, soft, round, forward and likable style of wine, with sweet, ripe fruits, licorice, vanilla and round tannins.
