  • Popped and poured. Broken cork. Opened up and integrated nicely over a couple hours. Was worried it would be old and decrepit, but she's still got some life left in her. Nice acidity, red fruit, fairly balanced, twinge of funk. Drinking nicely.

  • A very tasty bottle, medium-bodied, plenty of acid but also florality and fruit. Not in any danger of fading, maybe the slightest hint of garnet on the rim. Very Good+.

  • What a delight and perhaps unlike most St Innocent wines I have had... nose was deep and fruity, almost sweet... some called it pretty... color in the glass was a bit subdued, not over-aged, just mature... and then the taste was very juicy, all soft and cuddly, almost hard to define since so much fruit sweetness was there. the kind of wine you look at and just say "wow, that is just good".

  • I've got to start off by saying this is a ridiculously good wine, definitely my favorite single-vineyard St. Innocent, and possibly my favorite burgundian-style wine in the new world. It's a steal for the price.

Light ruby color. Very, very vivid nose of forest floor, spice, dried cherries and bacon. Light to medium body with fine acidity on the palate. I hesitate to put a duration on the finish, I feel like I can still taste this wine a day later, it's almost as if it had hacked my memory. Seven years seems to be the magic mark for drinking this.

  • Nose of barnyard and roses. Velvety on the palate with notes of bacon, earth, spices, flowers, cherries and raspberries. Spicy finish with the flower and mineral notes.

  • I quite liked this. Mostly red with some black fruit, tea, flowers, and spice. Good blend of new world fruit with a touch of old world structure and complexity.

  • Beautiful Funky Nose leading to a rich, round full bodied wine. Lots of depth, both secondary flavors as well baking spices and floral notes

  • No notes. I recall it being a bit light in color and very perfumed on the nose. Deceptively powerful on the palate.

  • Decanted 3 hours before drinking, consumed over the following two hours. Moderately deep brick-red color with a little lightness at the rim. Bright, effusive, complex, nose of flowers, strawberries, earth, and tea. Bright - meaning good acidity and ripe tannins - as well on the palate with flavors of strawberries, beets, and some oak. Moderate, slightly tannic finish. Best showing yet for this wine.

  • Decanted about 4 hours. Transparent blood-red color. Very ostentatious nose of pipe tobacco, raspberries, beets, leather and tea. Very rich and complete on the palate, with flavors of very ripe raspberries. Good ripeness and acidity. Moderate, clean finish. An excellet pinot noir from an excellent vintage. It's nice to see ripe pinot noir that tastes like pinot instead of a syrah wanna be.

  • deep garnet color, touch of orange. piercing aromas of crushed cherries and flowers, hints of rosemary and a bit of alcohol heat. persistant red and black cherries on the palate, sappy and ripe, some cola, slightly bitter edge to the finish. simply delicious, and straightforward pleasure. nothingcomplicated going on, but great fruit and texture. excellent wine.

  • Decanted for 3 hours. Deep garnet-red color. Overtly oaky on the nose with plenty of red fruit and earth lurking in the background. Quite complete on the palate and again filled with red fruits. Moderate finish. This was not as flamboyant or complex as last year so I I think is going through a dumb phase. With more decanting and/or bottle age it should warrant a higher score.

  • so so good. big fruity and floral nose. huge cherry and raspberry on the mouth. acidity of this wine is great, really bringing my mouth alive. giant new-world style, hedonistic pinot. not representative of most st. innocent, which are generally a lot more complex and balanced. this one is great for fruit though.

  • I just love this wine! Rich, aromatics with lots of plums and other dark fruits, well-balanced with a nice long finish. Had it with Copper River Salmon and it's just singing! I think this will age well, but it is hard to argue with cracking them open now.
