Bon achat!

Funky and animalistic with a thread of salinity that some of the other reviewers mentioned. This is a good pour for those who like trying "alternative" wines but it's maybe not a great choice for the two buck chuck drinkers. It's an acquired taste, but a good one.

Decanted and drank over 2 hours. Still has plenty of life yet. This bottle was much more primary/less developed that the previous bottle. No rush on this one!

The wine is still going strong. I can taste delicious amarena cherries and hibiscus flowers. A good dose of eucalyptus in the bouquet. Nice freshness, too. To drink within the next couple of years.

Deep dark red with an almost purple hue. Delicious aromas of earth and ripe deep dark berries. Spicy, funky, wonderful! Juicy, delicious fruit punch flavors. Restrained and sophisticated, not confectionary. If this is the new face of Beaujolais I am a BIG fan.

This wine is still going strong. See my first tasting note. Drinking window probably within the next 5 years. The less than half full bottle after having spent some days in the fridge (vacuumed) has developed even more. Now I can taste a good dose of amarena cherries. The wine is less bold now, you might say a tad more quiet but has gained in elegance. Hence 1 point up.

Notes after following for 3 days open, kept at cellar temp. Very dark purple hue, almost 100% opaque with clear, quick legs and no sediment. The bouquet is still quite tense with lovely top notes of Christmas candy, blackcurrant, raspberry, licorice, and a dash of earth. The palate is light to medium bodied and not nearly as deep as the nose leads me to believe. The acidity is very refreshing and not overbearing. The tannins effect is there, but minimal. Clean and pure finish and there was very little change in the structure of the wine over the 3 days. I think it could use a lot more time to stretch out the fabric a bit and I don't think I'll touch another for at least a year. I also hope it doesn't lose any of its current rustic charm. 4+11+15+8 = 88

Not rated, as I have decided Gamay is not for me. However, if I had to drink Beaujolais, this is the one I would drink. It does have a great body, minerality, and finish. And I strongly recommend pairing with a Domino's Pan Pizza.

I don't know why this wine is called "Tradition" on this page. There is no such wine in the Richard Rottiers domaine. Color: Nice purple with blue reflexions. Quite deep for a Beaujoulais. Nose: Typical Beaujoulais: A mixture between strawberry and banana. A hint of sheep, too. Mouth: Consistent with nose. Quite mineral, too. You can the taste the old vines. Silkysmoouth wine with a lot of depth and expression. Serious wine, too. I also love the typicity. 13% alc.

Good, classic Moulin-a-Vent with a good balance of fruit, granite and grip on the finish. Clean on the palate. Not overripe or marred in any way.

Clearly past it’s prime. Thin and watery. Hope you already drank it!

Really enjoyed this. A mix of fruit and secondary flavors, and sometimes I think I get a little salinity.

Tasty albeit simple. Nice nose and early palate with a short finish. I say drink up if you've got em.

Very good stuff. Tons of minerality, withholds of blue fruits. Very tasty, decent tannins and acidity for excellent structure.

Nice gamay. Very dry, slightly rough tannins. But generous fruit too and nice acid. Good value.

Good purple fruit, fresh, lighter grapey carbonic notes; fine ample tannins, granite with black tea leaf. Solid Beaujolais.
