Initial nose of eucalyptus, with a hint of spritz that quickly faded. Quite a pleasurable mix of rapsberry, provencial herbs with a mineral tinged long finish.

What a difference a year makes (or bottle variation). Well-balanced licorice, black pepper, plum and a wonderful meatiness to it. Alcohol, though present, was much better integrated in this bottle.

Note on day 2. This was a lot better on the second night - I regret having drank so much of the bottle on night 1. Nose of spice and game. Dark brooding black and blue fruits on the palate.

Dark Ruby Color. Initially reticent nose yielded menthol and vanilla notes with raspberry starting to assert itself more with air time. On the palate, very similar with alcohol the dominant force causing the wine to be unbalanced. Seemed to finish well after the alcohol burn wore off, but disappointing. Tasted while having a severe cold.

Popped and poured, and then consumed over 4 hours. Full-bodied wine that is dark ruby/magenta in color. On the nose, heady dark berries and vanilla oak. On the palate, blackberries, licorice, and more vanilla oak on the very long 30-40 second finish. Usual power-packed LC offering here...while this one is not complex, it makes a nice cocktail wine.

Wow - what a difference a year makes. Either that or it was severe bottle variation that caused the previous bottle of the Slacker to basically suck. This time around it was big, rich, and chewy example of a GSM blend. Dark, black fruit on the nose, along with coffee and bacon fat. Palate showed more of the same, along with plum and some licorice. None of the negative characteristics from last year, and I think that in a year this will be even better. Based on this bottle, totally glad I have several left!

Not my favorite Linne, but a good wine if you like the style. A bit of Robitssum on the nose. Big jammy notes of strawberries and red fruits on the palate. Not very complex. But well made for what it is.

One alcoholic mess.....prunes & raisins along with alcohol dominate this wine. Tried it over 2 days, while on the second day some overripe fruit evoloved this wine is just terrible! 50+5+10+10+4=79

Ripe and jammy like others noted, but a well made wine. I didn't get stewed fruit qualities, but it was a jam fest with clean defined fruit. Definitely not for the faint of hear. Not very complex. I don't think this one is an ager.

Disappointing. All I'm getting at this point is grape Kool-Aid. After several days open, this component settled down a bit and gives me some hope, but the alcohol left behind made it undrinkable. Not sure how or even if this wine will come together.

Very good to drink now, glad that I waited. It was rich with fruit flavors, dark cherry and blackberry, with a very nice finish.

DRIED PLUMS, BLACKBERRIES, LICORICE, AND PEPPER IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

mellowed out a bit from young LC fruit bomb, but still great full fruit, not the least bit overripe or pruney.

A bit of heat detracted from the ripe blackberry, menthol and charcoal notes. Still pleasurable with rich food.

Good, rich nose. Nice pepper and blueberry on the entry. Finish is a bit short with a hint of heat. Enjoyable, but nothing to write home about.
