Medium body, transparent, mature cherry colour with bricky rims, 14% abv. Delicate aroma of blue and red fruits, flowers, wet oak and tobacco background. Rounding palate of sour cherry, plum and juicy acidity following by grippy tannins and long, still fresh finish. Complex but not too rich, elegant and balanced wine. Food friendly, well paring to grilled chicken stuffed by rice. Serve 18ºC - 20ºC. Still requires two hours aeration. Drink now and the next decade.

Clear brick red with lighter edges. Tart upon pop and pour, but lovely after an hour's decant, and even better with food. The acidity of the wine paired very well with the fattiness of braised short ribs.

absolutely delicious. a bit strong and alcoholic, but quite ready to drink now. i am looking forward to the second day, since some is still left, because of how strong it was. good stuff. much better than the $10 cheaper paneretta torre a destra at total wine.

This was garnet colored, medium bodied, expressive black cherry and black raspberry fruits, notes of toast, leather, tobacco, spice and hints of pepper with a nice balance of acidity and tannins on the long engaging finish.
This was more balanced on the second day. Flowers, cherries, and earth on the nose. Bright and dynamic on the palate with candied raspberries. It was a bit tannic at first, but then settled down. Leather and strawberry licorice on the finish, with a residue of "charcoal barbecue figs" (quoted from below). I enjoyed this, but part of me wishes I had waited longer to try it.

Ruby to brownish red color. Kind of a spicy nose with pepper, leather, tobacco leaf aromas. Taste has a bit of pepper with some underlying cherry and maybe apricot

Purest fruit of the five. Totally accessible and drinkable now, much to my surprise. The biggest take-away from this tasting is this: these wines are styled for early accessibility, and are probably ready to go right on release.

A delicious aroma right from the 'bosco': earth, leather and bursting with red berries. Wonderful rounded taste with the right amount of acidity for the required tart, astringent finish.

Tuscan premium wines tasting by Dani Galil (Hola estaurant): pale ruby med aromas intensity of dark red ripe cherries, plums, raspberries, earth, toasted oak, smoked meat; developing dry, high acidity, med+ tannins, high abv, med body, med flavours intensity consistent with the nose, dry tobacco leaves, mint, eucalyptus, licorice, long finish can drink now - suitable for further ageing
Some users note this bottle needs more time. Maybe that explains why I wasn’t terribly impressed. I thought it was ok but a little thin. Will revisit other bottles at a later date.

Bright and expressive, but way too young. Like an eager little kid, shouting for attention. Needs time in the bottle. You know, to mature into a brooding adult.

If you can get past the tongue shriveling tannins, this wine has some big time fruit. Starts with cherry, mid palette includes a flavor of fully ripened and slightly rotted strawberries. To me this wine is best in the finish as I found flavor of charcoal barbecued figs.
Probably needs 24 hours to open and built to age. Visit this in 10 years.

In the far northwest corner of the Montalcino. Kinda out there by themselves with no one else. And owned by Farogamma. Fresh and lively on the palate. Good length. The mid palate is a bit thin but I kinda wonder if it will flesh out at some point. Nice minerality and purple flowers. Suprisingly clean notes Julieta. Beautiful structure and you get both grape and wood tannin notes Katie.

Decanted into a plastic, cyclindrical pitcher (which was left open) for ≈45 min prior to returning it to its bottle (I.e., "recorked") for ≈1 hr prior to pouring in the restaurant
N: Slightly closed; Smoke, earth, with berries WAY underneath (at least init), the oak taking on an almost creamy nature with addt'l air; Cherry frt "flirts" with coming out, but remains shy.
P: LM body; NICE frt BRACED by a somewhat astringent acidity that loses the majority of its "bite" by the LONG, balanced finish with hints of swtness to the manageable, dusty tannins, although I think it would have benefited by a LONGER, or even double, decant, perhaps starting 24 hrs prior. Nonetheless, 2 less experienced imbibers & an addt'l (off-dry) Riesling drinker (whom I'd NEVER previously seen drinking a red) were QUITE happy. So, go figure, huh? // Day 3 (forgot Private Preserve after Day 1, I do believe) -- N: Still muted, but showing that creaminess with hints of iron, cherries, & some spice with addt'l air/swirling; P: LM body; The frt more BLATANT, I do believe, & more than compensating for the oxygenation resulting from my mishandling.
∑: 14% ABV; My EXC-, likely more with either cellaring or a more rigorous decant. 94 pts ea Suckling & Vinous (D'Agata), 92 ea WA & WS, 91 Decanter (Morris), and 16 & 15/20 Jancis Robinson! [As of late May '19, the purchased $35.95 (IF still in stock) would be $5 < the next lowest of wine-searcher's listings!]

N: RIPE berries with brief notes of almost jammy straws, oak certainly present, with undertones of geraniums
P: Med, poss LM, body; NICE frt met by a tangy acidity which fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, TANGY/swt (60:40) finish with a LOVELY balance & VERY slight spiciness. 14% ABV; 94 pts ea Suckling & Vinous (D'Agata), 92 ea WA & WS, 91 Decanter (Morris), and 16 & 15/20 Jancis Robinson!
