Wow was this a surprise! Nice light yellow color with a well balanced icidic nose with a light yellow color and a medium weight body with some complexity and a medium length aftertaste. It stood up well to a lovely Pecorino and to a Sonoma Chardonnay.

Monthly Tasting Group: Spain (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Light gold color. Followed a glass over an hour. Green tea, herbal and very floral, cat pee, citrus, lychee on the nose. This is one of those totally in your face wines, both on the nose and palate. The palate is acidic and rather bracing, tea, herbal, cat pee, grapefruit, lychee and some stone. If you like an aggressive NZ Sauv Blanc then you'll like this.

Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon-green colour with watery rims and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium (+) intensity aromas of stone fruit of white peach, floral notes of jasmine, citrus fruit of lemon zest, tropical fruit of mango, green fruit of grapefruit, mineral notes of stony, maturity notes of honey. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium (+) body and medium (+) intensity flavors of stone fruit of peach, citrus notes of lemon, dairy notes of cream, mineral notes of stony, floral notes of jasmine. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Very good quality Rias Baixas Albarino with an intense nose showing good complexity, with the typical varietal characters clearly exhibited, good floral and peachy nose supplemented with exotic fruit and some development aromas, the wine is well-balanced, with a slightly heavy body and good concentration on the palate with similar flavors, finishing with a reasonable length. It is ready to drink now and not meant for further ageing.

Love the aromatic and flavor profile, shows quite a bit of complexity: lemon, melon, ripe peach wrapped around a mineral and saline core. It just lacks the zippy acidity I like in an Albariño; comes across to me as being slightly rounded in style. I’m speculating the very hot vintage created lots of ripeness, but at the expense of decreased acidity.

I had this after dinner on 2/28/20. It had a soft, elegant nose of melon, nectarine, lemon, herb, spice and mineral aromas. The palate was soft and elegant with flavors that followed the nose. 89+

I had this with fried green tomatoes on 9/27/18. It had a subtle, elegant bouquet of melon, nectarine, lemon, saline, pepper, herb and spice aromas. The palate was soft, focused and elegant with flavors of melon, nectarine, lemon cream, vanilla, salt, herb and spice.

Nice. Initially came across as tired and maybe past it. But with some air this picked up fruit and minerality and retained a nice crispness. Different, but very tasty with a nice saline finish.

Clear, bright, deep lemon color. Developing, with medium aromas of tropical fruit (banana), ripe apricot, lemon curd, herbal notes, and salty minerality. Lots of complexity clusters. Medium flavors of juicy pineapple and banana, ripe apricot, creamy lemon, and some herbs underscored with chalky minerals. Medium body and medium alcohol. The mouthfeel is very rounded as evidenced by the medium minus acidity and short finish. This is a good wine and showing early signs of complexity, but really lacks acidity, and length. Drink now but by 2019. Disappointing.

outstanding. quite ripe and mouthfilling, but still with nice crispness and minerality, peach and apricot notes to the saline nose. Definite saline note on the finish as well, but tasty and long.

Not something I would drink again. Had a odd metallic taste to it along with floral and orange rind. No one enjoyed it. Gut impression. 80 points

As I commented last year, this has almost all the components for a great wine....except its lacking enough acidity to support a long finish.

A curious wine, quite estery, reminiscent of a too-old beer, and yet not in a bad way. Interesting.
