In 2022 I wrote (91+p): "Lovely and classic Pauillac with fine tannins, blackberry, iron/graphite, light oak, and earthy notes. Parker rated 92-94, Suckling 92-93, and Falstaff 92."
Now in 2024 it tastes even better and settled in with more tertiary notes, such as cigar box. Should try to buy more of this!

BYOB - Bordeaux Red, Finewines.se (Sollentuna, Sweden): A great wine. Cola/fudge, milkchocolate, coffee, perfume, cedar. Licorice and chili covered chocolate pralines in the palate. Tannins and acidity on the medium side which balances the wine.

From a beautiful magnum and unfortunately not time to decant . This harnesses the 2015 vintage well producing a very round and smooth wine with a firm structure but well polished tannin. Young in a way albeit well within its drinking window and should continue to perform easily for another decade . 90-91

Drank over 3 days. Started to open up on day 2. Aromatic nose with cedar wood, violet, vanila, anise dark fruit aroma. On the palate, great finesse with medium plus acidity and structure but supple tannins. Smooth and polished mouthfeel with concentrated flavors of black berries, clove, licorice, chocolate. Great balance and body and nice to drink now with some decanting. I like it very much.

I liked their 2012 vintage and bought 2 bottles of 2015 in France a few years ago. 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot.
1.5h decant in those huge Riedel glasses, which was fine. Lovely and classic Pauillac with fine tannins, blackberry, iron/graphite, light oak, and earthy notes. Parker rated 92-94, Suckling 92-93, and Falstaff 92.
Better than 2012 and surely will further improve with age: 91+p

This was delicious and very traditional. Cedar, dark fruit, horsey-brett, some oak, tastes like graphite. Very Pauillac, open and accessible; great value. Yum.

The wine looks garnet colored. The body is medium. The wine has angular texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has high acidity. The 2015 vintage is still too young to drink in early 2021. It needs several more years to age as the acidity is still way too high to evaluate the ultimate result. Would leave alone until 2025.

Healthy bright dark cherry colour; beautiful lifted nose of dark fruit, viande, bramble, wood; taste = good forward fruit, soft tannins (no deposit), a generous wine but a little light, no discernible structure or depth. This is a wine made for easy drinking, but in its open fruit-driven almost Italianate texture seems to be heading away into something other than left-bank Bordeaux.

Decanted for two hours. Black cherry, smoked meat, blackberry, green tobacco and gravel. A medium-to full-bodied Cabernet-based blend, with statuesque qualities and a long, chiseled finish; this is very regal. Polished, silky tannins, and nay a hard edge, with a dark berry palate. Such an approachable, age-worthy Pauillac. Paradoxically elegant, yet masculine. Possibly the best ever from here. Drink 2021 -.

Maybe just a little step behind Batailley 15 from the same winemaker. Very juicy and soft with elegant tannins. Will be early accessible with only a short decant. A well made crowd pleaser.

Rather big and ripe with lots of oak on nose and palate. Polished tannins, good acidity, very generous and quite sweet. Quite linear with medium length. 90-91+

K&L Wines of Bordeaux Tasting (K&L Wines, Redwood City, CA): 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot. Fairly simple on the nose right now, with raspberry, strawberry, and hints of oak. Fruit is a bit muted on the palate at this stage as well, dominated by supple tannins, bracing acidity. A spicy hint to the finish. This one has promise but is going to take a while to show its true nature.

Tobacco, cigar box, blackberry and cedar create the character. On the palate, the wine is almost easy to drink with its soft tannins. There is a strong, olive and cedar overtone. The wine was produced from a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot.

Union Des Grand Crus de Bordeaux Tasting of the 2015 Vintage, nose of black berry, tobacco, and cigar box, same on the palate, medium body, maybe light/medium body, one dimensional but there is hope especially given the price, fairly fruit forward, needs 2 years to peak drinking window, medium finish.

2015 Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux Tasting: Brooding offering from a lesser known Pauillac. Tons of cocoa dark fruits. The thing that really hit me was this sense that the fruit aromas, secondary aromas of earth, and the spice notes seemed to each be in a box of their own, like they were separated. Maybe it just needs time to integrate. Still excellent given the price point.

Assessing Bordeaux 2015 from bottle, part I; 11/2/2017-11/3/2017 (Bordeaux): Wow. This really surprised me. I know the score is high, and especially considering my lack of enthusiasm from barrel. But it is pretty sumptuous, opulent even and rather powerful. Showing both balance and integrity of the fruit. Bright yet deep. Based on this blind tasting (I look forward to trying again in January), worth buying.

Cassis and blackberry notes play at the forefront of this satisfying but not overly complex, easy-drinking Pauillac. This wine was produced from a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot. 87 - 89 Pts

QR Emerald Lounge in Doha. Concentrated but smooth, tons of chocolate and tobacco, some vanilla. Tannins still show a bit.

Intriguingly Pauillac #Bdx15 (Bordeaux, actually tasted during en primeur week): Quite tasty and refined, Perhaps one of the best ever en primeur. Even if a touch short, as compared to the best of the Pauillacs, but I like the smooth and floral aspects. 88-91
