On the nose I am getting dark fruit, but not a ton of complexity. A touch of vanille, maybe some tobacco here and a little bit of heat. The palate with a similar fruit profile, medium plus acidity, silky tannins and a pleasant, although not complex finish. Maybe a point of upside with more cellar time.

83P, 👁 medium ruby red 👃🏻 clean, modest intensity, first notes of aging, black currant, violet 👄 dry, pleasant medium acidity, medium round tannins, medium alcohol, well balanced, slim body, modest intensity, cassis, herbs, medium finish with an attractive aftertaste ✍🏻 Conclusion: smell and taste a bit weak (too weak for me personally), everything is okay in quality

2015 was fantastic year in Bordeaux. Haut - Medoc received 96 pts. from RP vintage guide. 17.43€(August price) and the most important this juice includes 15% PV! The rest is 50% CS, 35% M. So much PV definitely defines the character of this wine, that is full - bodied with thick texture and powerful taste. Let's start with aromas. Tobacco (strong!), blackberry ( no surprise), some spices, blueberry ( lovely!), more sweet notes ( plum?). There is more, but I won't struggle to decipher all nuances. How about the taste? As I wrote above it's muscular, heavy, thick but also vibrant , lush and rich. First thing, that came to my mind, through my tongue, after first sip - dusty texture with mix of coffee, cocoa, black fruits and tobacco! Weird, isn't? But I drink 3rd glass and this impression persists. Besides that, spice is all over here ( probably this is the reason this wine just got only 3.8). Tannins and acidity are perfect in this 7 years old wine. Pretty long finish with spice and dark chocolate! Basically it's hard to complain about anything with this wine. Ooops - one thing or two No elements of surprise, no elements of delight, but hey, this is $17 fluid

We finished 3 bottles. 2014 Esprit de Pavie. Decant for 30 minutes. Pencil lead taste, little fruit. Strong tannins, low acidity. Compared to the last time I tasted it, it is growing. Good balance and drinking well now. 90
2015 Château Belle-Vue. Decant in 1 hour. Beautiful classic Bordeaux. Juicy, spicy and fresh. Medium to full body. This wine is the youngest wine tonight, but it has ripe, round fruit and spice flavors. Rich texture. 90
2001 Chateau Musar. Pop and pour. Juicy and fresh. Medium body..... Delicious. 91

Pnp. The wine is medium body, Nice Bordeaux style with black fruits and tannins. More opened up after 30 minutes, soft and fresh. It tastes like plum and creamy. Sweet and less acidity. Drinking well now.

50 CS, 50 Merlot. Ripe black cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, cloves, anise, menthol and graphite. Medium + body, Medium tannins. Pretty classic for the style; the Merlot definitely rounds everything out. Great QPR on this at $22!

Very good and easy drinking wine. However, does not remind me of Bordeaux, typical multi-levelled aromas missing, tannins are also quite weak. Shows lots of red fruit, violets, etc. Cannot be compared with Margaux, does not show that style, elegance and finesse. It’s the closest to Pomerol but also not really comparable. Seems to be a class in its own, which I mean in a positive way.

Bordeaux 2015 blinds night at Bishan. Tasted blind. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of violets, purple fruits, boysenberries. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet blackberries, black cherries, boysenberries, bits of integrated sweet vanilla. Medium+ finish. Good quality. Felt quite Margaux-like to me. Not bad, can drink over the next 3-4 years as it develops a bit more.

Very elegant even if not very intense bouquet of black fruits mixed with some vanilla notes. A litte bit disppointing for those (like me) who emphasise the nose a lot. For me there wasn't much at all. On the pallate then the wine is medium bodied with medium tannins. It has a feminin Margaux like character, both the oak and the acidity is nicely integrated and not too present. Drinkable (decanted it for an hour) but I would say the wine has to open a bit more. Would wait for two or more years.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blueberry, black currant (cassis) and raisin. It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis), raisin, oak and vanilla. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

A bargain Medoc! This one has all the classic tones of complex nose and flavor. Rich color suggests youth, but although tannins are present, they aren't powerful - I hope they will last for another 7-10 years. But it's so good now, you could drink it from now until then - if it starts to fade, then just finish it up!

Deep red color Bordeau with plenty of character and good amount of tannin, subtle acidity with some berry notes with limited amount of residual sugar. Loads of complexity with long finale. Very good.

Well that’s a mighty serious haut medoc. Dark ruby hue with aromatic notes of pencil shavings and bell pepper. Juicy black cherry on the palate with more dark fruit, green pepper and sandalwood. Chewy tannins indicate this will have some endurance in the cellar and reward the patient. What it lacks in plushness it makes up for in stern character. This wine drinks like a faithful dad.

Purple. Decanted and tasted. This is open and a joy to drink now. The nose is intoxicating with black berries, mulberries and cassis, vanilla . On the palate with present but round tannin and good refreshing acidity, very light on its feet with great poise, but not lean on the midpalate as Lisa Perotti-Brown from the WA described (85 points, -2023). Great and long fruity slightly tannic finish. I more agree with the scores from Jeb Dunnuck and Suckling (92), but I have to give one point more, which is, as I have to admit, a bet on the future. 5/13/16/9 2030+

More modern in style with chocolate dominating initially. This is more reminiscent of a Napa Cab Sav to me with blueberries coming through and soft tannins, though a very nicely integrated, balanced wine. Would be keen to buy more and see how it holds up over a couple of days.

From a 375ml. 4 hour decant. 13.5%. Nice concentration on the nose. Very typical Haut-Medoc. Primary red and black fruits with something else. Good intensity on the palate and matching finish. The extraction is modern and rich with pure fruit flavours, and no dryness. The texture is paint-like with fine detail. Feels like a step up from the 2010. Doesn't need food either. I could drink this all evening long.
Verdict: Happy with the purchase. This will be a 90-pointer at some stage.
On a side-note: These 375ml bottles are the usual Bordeaux shape, not the 'bell-shaped' bottles Belle-Vue uses for the 750ml. I appreciated the detail on the gold embossed 'Art Deco' label as never before. I think the label looks better on the 375ml than the 750ml. I like the label design now.

Cru Bourgeois to be classified again (Château Belle-Vue): 45% CS-40M% Merlot and … 15% Petit Verdot! 13.5% alcohol. A large bottle, thick, but not a garage wine. 😂 Serious cassis and plum nose, with oak related aromatics that do not distract too much. 30% percent new oak. The palate is well structured, yet succulent, too. While not as impressive as Cambon La Pelouse, it is very nice. Tasted again, and I like its expansive qualities on the finish.

With a deep, rich, color along with boysenberry, cocoa, soft tannins and a spicy, floral ripe nose, you also enjoy round, smoky, black cherries in the finish. The wine was made from a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 15% Petit Verdot, reaching 13.5% alcohol. 90 - 92 Pts

Similar to previous note. Rich, smooth, tobacco - a real bargain at €16. Evi liked as well.
Didn't manage to decant, which was a shame.
Note to self: looking at the notes below I see "modern style" and "feminine Margaux." I think this is the style of Bordeaux that Evi would prefer.
