Whilst the last bottle a year ago was disappointing, it now starts opening up. Less bitter and clear hints of aging. Hope the fruit will show up in one or two years...

Lots of dark fruit, vanilla oak. Typical commercial table wine from Bordeaux. There are many Fronsac/Lalande de Pomerol for half the price who can match this wine. Not bad, but a pity that they could not do better in a top vintage. It is a Pomerol after all.

Deep red, very clear, medium fragrance complexity. Fruity aromas of plum, cherry and black fruit. In addition woody tendencies of forest floor, iron and clay. Medium woody notes on the palate. Dry. Tending towards balanced acidity, medium finish. Relatively strong tannins, rather powerful body. Woody and spicy aromas on the palate; a certain sharpness on the finish (alcohol content). Overall a decent wine, whose fruity aromas are (unfortunately) not so clearly reflected in the taste. I suspect significant improvements at the peak of drinking maturity.

Black cherry, graphite, blackberry. Medium bodied with medium+ tannins. Served with duck breast and red wine reduction. Delicious, but not sure it’s worth the $60 price tag.

Another try from the right bank side, pnp very intense ripe fruit smell, black fruit, plums, great balance here that young, somehow a crowd pleaser in a good way, elegance, fresh mouthfeel, some spice, maybe a little too easy going just a few years after release, good pairing with grilled meat this time, not sure if this will mature and give more complexity later on, recommend to enjoy this one the next 5- 10 years, **(*), around 89,90(+?)

Retailer Tasting. Medium ruby in colour. Nice mixed berry aromas and a nice lemon peel note on the nose, with discrete oak aromas. Broad and chocolaty on the palate, with more obvious oak, chewy tannin and average to good length. 87+ for now, but seemed to have upside potential. (87+)

Same as below, much better than my previous bottle 1.5 year ago, would do even better with a few more years of age. decanted for about 4 hours.

Very soft and smooth. Overall "Meh" with No finishing strength. Not bad but way better Bordeaux's at this price point.

Abit simple for a Pomerol, but very drinkable never the less. Soft red fruits coupled by some cab franc greenness, goes down very smoothly with food

Soft in texture with a light whisper of fresh plum and cherry, this wine is elegant in style and will be best in its youth. 87 - 89 Pts
