opened and double decanted an hour, youthful slightly dense dark ruby, simple but ripe and attractive plum fruit with touch of earthy minerality, nice enough but nothing special, maybe some upside, no rush. VG+ (16.5).

I liked this wine very much, especially for the $41 I paid for it. It's medium to full bodied with cassis, mineral and earth. The nose is about the same. It drank very well after a 1.5 hour decant and is definitely not made in a juicy, ripe Merlot based style. The wine is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cab Franc and 32% Merlot, and it tastes like it. It's very much made in the Figeac style. I definitely would buy more at $50 or less. Unfortunately, the wine is now selling for over $60 and close to $100 for the 2020 vintage.

Lovely. 2nd of 6. Has opened up a lot since first tasting in 2022 where it was quite flat and underwhelming. Not so now! Vibrant crimson, wonderful freshness and bright red fruit nose and a hint of smokiness. Very smooth mouthfeel, red and black fruits abound on the palate with a touch of vanilla. Not complex, but bright and happy flavours. Very enjoyable with spaghetti bolognaise! Expect it will last a few more years yet, but will there be more complexity ahead? Not sure. Consumed over subsequent 3 or 4 days, with just a cork back in the bottle. Held up nicely right to the bottom of the bottle.

A solid second label, but faraway from complexity and richness of Figeac. Don’t see space for improvement thru time. Enjoy now after two hours of slow ox.

Was the best of a California-Washington-France bordeaux blend tasting. Unanimous choice amongst 5 tasters. Has plenty of time left. Takes a bit of time to unfold, and worth it.

This is very nice and a good intro for its big brother. Med body, with a good mix of fruit and slight earthy notes. Is it worth the price? Not sure. I love Figeac, but...there are lots of Bordeaux values in the 20-30 range.

Very refreshing with strong primary flavours of spice and herbs and complementary sweet black fruits in great balance. Noticeable vanilla flavours as well but not overpowering - perhaps another year or so in bottle will absorb a little more oak but I wouldn't put anybody off drinking it now.

Lovely vivid ruby, expressive classic Bordeaux, has the tight focus of Figeac, not a modern fruit bomb but a beautifully focused and precise claret that exactly aligns with the Cabernet influence of Figeac ( probably stuffed with Merlot having written that!), beautifully judged 2nd wine that is refreshing and delicious now but beautifully judged and will hold. Silky fruit and appetising, graphite/ stoney notes on palate, happy to wait for other bottles in the cellar. Not the stuffing for 20 years but the balance for 10. Lovely

If you like more of a fruit driven rather than structurally perfect wine... This is flat out deliciousI! Does require 2 hrs decant, but then everything is out in the open, dark fruits, silkiness, creme-de-casis, well integrated and very reminiscent of the 2009s oddly from left bank! I'd continue to enjoy now, why wait? If this will go the road of the 2009s second wines, which many became fruit-bombish and dense 10 years out, I would opt to enjoy this now... I have some Gran Vin 2015s which I can only wonder how delightful they will be in time? Perhaps the 2016s will prove to be superior structurally, and a tad lighter... Time will tell...

Smooth and delicious!! Deep ruby, slow tear drops. Aromas of dark sherry, blackberry and raisin. On the palate: fruity, full bodied, medium acidity. Smooth, velvety blend of dark cherries and raspberries. Ends on a long near to perfect finish with well integrated tannins and acidity. Ready to drink now with a couple hours of decanting. NI:4, FI:22, FC:9, B:4, F:5

A deep ruby, medium-bodied blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the '15 Petit-Figeac is an easy drinker with very soft textures. Aromas and flavors of black raspberries, dark plums, baking spices, licorice and earth are supported by fresh acidity, medium silky tannins, seamless alcohol (14%) and nicely integrated oak. With good mid-palate density and a medium-to-long finish, this is already drinking beautifully. Enjoy it over the next decade. Drink now-2029.

Followed over 2 days. Has a nose savory edge to the cab along with fine tannins and red fruits. Tannins are pretty mild. A nice wine but strikes me as being more consistent with cru bourgeois quality level, making this a poor qpr. I do think this will improve with age and demonstrate some typical Figeac aromatics.

Wow, the best of the 2nds I have tried so far. Feeling just a bit young, naturally, but so approachable right now. Loads of fruit and nuances. This is going to develop really well.

Det här var riktigt bra. Kände gräset från C F druvan, fruktig med lång eftersmak. Kan säkert mogna ett tag till.
