2015 German Rieslings; 3/28/2018-3/29/2018 (Mark's): Light golden in color. The nose is very tight with slight wet rock notes. Much better on the palate. Nice texture. Sour lemon candy notes. Tart acidity. Long finish.

Neither overtly ripe nor as sweet as I anticipated for a 2015. Off dry. Rounder, slightly fuller and less zippy as you'd expect from Rheingau in a ripe vintage. Orange rind, hint of peach on the palate. Didn't love it but worth a try at $19 from a venerable, historic estate. 11.5% alc.

Light lemon yellow color; aromatic, tart apple, musk melon nose; tasty, tart apple, tart citrus, very minerally, palate with near medium acidity; medium-plus finish (11.5% alcohol; natural cork)

I see the drinking window here and I scratch my head. The acid isn't there...this is clumsy, flat wine. It came strongly recommended but my disappointment more than offsets that emotion. Not sure what I'm missing here, and my company confirmed my assessment.
