Solid but unremarkable, and past it's prime. All structure and no fruit. I didn't hate it....but certainly didn't love it. One left that I'll drink soon as i don't see it getting better

Deep berry, pencil lead, spice, some leather nose. Black cherry hue. Smooth, nicely balanced, dark fruit, black cherry smoothie. Long finish. Really enjoyed this wine-- drank two bottles.

Excellent red blend. If I didn't know this was 1/3rd Zin I wouldn't have picked it out, but when searching for it it is subtly there, but blended so well with the other two grapes

Much better this time than 18 months ago. Less fruit forward; excellent balance - full bodied taste. 4 of us had with dinner and were absolutely delighted with taste - did not have the nose and lingering taste that would have made it even better, but still excellent.

I find that I'm drifting away from these big, extracted zins/zin blends. Perhaps ironically, I prefer Seghesio's bread and butter Sonoma County blend--it has fruit I can identify with without being syrupy or too hot.

Inky hue, dark fruit nose, black cherry, earthy, spice, little hot but fantastic balance and finish. Long lasting. A great mix of zinfandel, petite syrah, carignane. Terrific.

This was a little sweeter than previous vintages, and didn't have the heat I don't care for. This is the best vintage of the Marion's Reserve that I've had.

PnP, nursed 2/3 bottle over 3 hrs, then pumped and had the last bits today. Big and rich on day 1 with similar notes to many below. I was a bit surprised that on day 2 it lacked structure and energy. I guess I expected more from it given how delicious it was on day 1.

This is tasting great! There are big tangy fruits, this is not a quiet "sip me" wine, this stands up and says "here I am, taste me!". This is nicely layered, has a pleasant bite, and improves with food. This is an excellent vintage of Marian's Reserve.

Is brambleberry real? Well, it should be...and this wine would be the picture in the dictionary (I know this doesn't make sense). Exquisite balance, brilliant flavors, luxuriating/forever finish. Yahoo!

Very nice wine - did not need much time to open up. The blend of the three varietals is quite nice now - a lush, dark wine with good complexity, soft to moderate tannins and long finish. I wish I had more!

Interesting how the wine evolved. Initially this presented as very fruit forward with very subdued acidity. But after an hour the tannins became quite expressive, contributing to a long dry finish. This wine could cellar well past 2016.

An interesting wine. 1/3 zin, 1/3 petit syrah, 1/3 carignane. The tanins from the petit syrah and carignage tamp down the bright berries of the zin. Had it with a meatloaf BLT and the fruit of the zin held up well. Sipped on the last couple of ounces after dinner and the tanins came to the front. Would be killer with ribs.

Too much fruit forward taste, very drinkable, but not a wine to linger over and savor. disappointed. Will wait two more years before drinking my other 2 bottles and likely 3 years for the 2010

14.6% alcohol. Blend of Zin, Carignane and Petite. Dark ruby red. Expressive red and black fruit aromas. Round and deep on the palate with raspberry, black cherry, spice and cherry highlights. Lingering aftertaste. Interesting and enjoyable.

This is a delightful wine, a blend of Zin, Carignane and Sangiovese. A nice nose of blacberry and spice, leading to a pleasant, smooth taste of dark fruit and cinnamon. Well done

Very very nice. PNP....big balance rich dark fruit...cherries, some blackberries, chocolate. Tannins present but enjoyable, balanced. Smooth wine that is juicy without being jammy with med. long finish. Delicious.

Absolutely fabulous! Luscious fruit balanced out perfectly with a long finish and sumptuous mouthfeel. One of my favorites from Seghesio as it always delivers big-time.

As always, I have a difficult time choosing which lucky Seghesio bottle(s) will come home with me. This bottle broke the tie (Venom, as rated on my notes) as it carried a much more velvety taste (perhaps the mineral feel as one would get in a pinot noir) and nose. Acids were low and fruits (dark berries) and ripe cherry. This reserve will be on my shelf until I make that flank steak with chimchurri sauce again.
