Got this bottle for $19.99. Very good value and qualifies for the "Tuesday Wine" category. Softens nicely after having been open for 2 hours. More of a fruit-forward, new-world wine. Pleasantly drinkable with a distinctly young merlot finish. I'd buy it again if it weren't for the vast array of choices available in this price/value strata. The wine looks inky colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes medium.

A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied 100% Merlot red, with black cherry, plum, licorice and spice on finish, good not great. www.winelx.com

Aerate to decanter. Deep red with black hues and inky, making this opaque, full body. Even after about an hour of air, reticent bouquet of dark cherries and blackberries with brighter notes of red berries, bits of leather and earth. Teeth and palate-staining flavors of fresh and dried blackberries and cherries, cedar, thyme, and drying walnut skin. This is big and concentrated, settling into the tongue with flavors of dried cherry roll up, minerals, cedar and earth. Medium-plus acid and tannins are fairly fine-grained but plentiful and youthful so this will benefit from 2-3 years sideways. Overall a big tasty merlot that needs at least a couple hours of air to relax and show its stuffing. Looking forward to seeing how it develops. Outstanding value at 19.

Smokey blackberries cassis and some dust. It is a big wine but not too powerful, some bright red fruits and good acid keep it all together. Would go very well with BBQ probably pick up a few more for the winter months. Liked this quite a bit.

Still a solid 89, could get better but a nice drink (100% merlot).

I believe my initial assumption of more age was correct. Drank day 1 and day 3, and it mellowed out and was more enjoyable day 3.

I have no idea what wine the rest of the reviewers were drinking. This wine is thin, astringent and not pleasant at all to drink.
It tastes like bad homemade wine.
Given heft of bottle, 97 point score and Winelibrary hype I expected much, much more.
Glad I only bought 2 bottles as it is literally the worst bottle of wine I've had in some time.

The value here is incredible. For $19 drinks like a $50 bottle. Need to buy another case.

Drinker beware, please give this wine plenty of air. Straight out of the bottle, it is very tightly wound and needs time to show itself.
Nose is of sweetened coffee and cream, strawberry flavored candy, sweet smoke.
Nose is redolent of bordeaux merlot. sweet green olives, green bell peppers, slight cedar and ripe plum.
Delicious and big wine. Need to find another case of this. Great QPR.
