The wine looks ruby colored and there is no sediment in the bottle. Medium bodied and has fleshy texture, complex finish, and low acidity. It's really drinking quite nicely and is very balanced. We all agreed it could be the best, if not among the best, syrah's that we have ever had. Highly recommend. Agree with drinking window to 2020 because it's good right now, but should last longer.

Tasty, with a surprising amount of complexity and minerality. Opened up nicely after about 1 hour. A lot more chewy than most pinots, and withstood the red meat challenge just fine.

The initial 30 minutes are disappointing for Pruett, which has been quite a good find for me. The wine softened a bit after this time but still possessed an almost metalic finish, and not a good one. Not a lot of depth or complexity, but what do you expect for this price point? One hour into it I was able to enjoy it more but gave away the bottle nonetheless. I'll focus on other Pruett's, which I enjoy so much more.
