    92% Grenache & 8% Petite Sirah; 14% ABV

  • Sat, 10/22/16, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 92% Grenache, 8% Petite Sirah; 14% ABV

N: Closed/muted; Init toast atop earth & spice with undertones of pyrazines as well. With more air a jamminess & notes of smoke emerge.

P: Med, poss MF, body; Init rnd entry quickly picks up acidity. LONG, fairly firm (albeit slightly faint) finish. Apparently neither filtered nor fined as even my sample glass was showing sediment! An elegant style that QUITE achieves it, IMHO. My score reflects the QPR of what one gets here for $12.95!
