Mushroom and waxy grape aromas. Entirely enjoyable, plus it’s my birthday. Dry and more body than not. Could drink this all day. Eternally youthful and mature.

All right now! PnP. Light color. Peach, apricot and salinity. Clove/Nutmeg/Cardamom type scents too. Good with cucumber, carrot salad with a cumin yogurt sauce. Great with chicken pea and butternut squash curry. Later I got a slight note of muscadine.
Great fuzzy feeling (tannins?) in the front of my mouth and also lingers in a wonderful ripe way.
M said it’s very dry. I didn’t necessarily think that but it’s interesting.

My bottle tastes exactly as described in the previous post of 8/6/22 by Matt Mauldin. I shall return to the store where I found it expecting to see a few more.
A drink of it is a contest between glossy saccharide and abrupt, dry mineral. Sensational with potato cooked in fat.

Bright, light-gold color. Aromas of fresh nectarine & quince, orange & honeysuckle blossom, candied ginger & pecan spices along with petrol minerality. Luscious on the palate with notes of white peach, yellow pear & hints of lime zest, richly layered with mineral, dried red florals and hints of caramel and nutmeg spices. Mouthfilling density with rounded edges, framed with taut acidity and finishing with nice zesty length. Excellent showing.
I've been drinking a fair bit of German riesling of late, so I felt it was time to throw in some Alsatian versions to compare. On the nose: dense white peach, sweet apple and honeysuckle with some canteloupe in the mix. On the palate, ok acidity, but excellent density with melon, slight oiliness but maybe a bit nondescript. Very short finish. Good for the density, but our meal (a vegetable stew) perhaos called for more acidity...bad pairing?

Classic alsatian bouquet with some lemon, white peach, honey and some petrol. Overall not as much residual sugar as expected with a medium body. For the price, there might be better values out there.

I will never buy this wine again, it smelled and tasted like spoiled wine. Perhaps it was. Suffered through a couple of glasses with pizza and poured it out. A total waste of $30.

Lovely herbal aromas. Lots of lemon balm, thyme, slight marzipan note in the background. But of white peach and nectarine. Feels as if it's going to be a drier Riesling and that's confirmed on the palate. Nice balance though. Acidity is strong and long lasting. Overall seems a little raw and young. Nice wine which has a lot of upside.

A very pleasant bottle to be sure, but a little less enjoyment thanI usually enjoy with Rieslings at this estate. Nice peachy flavors are delicate but do the job, I might have thought this was pinot Blanc given the lower than expected acidity. Will hold my second bottle for a few years to see what happens. Still, very nice.

Popped and poured. My first Weinbach in quite some time and enjoyed it very much. Was supposed to be a virtual tasting with a friend opening a bottle down in Hood River, OR to compare notes but the bozo opened a Weinbach Gewurztraminer instead. Dork! Deep yellow in the glass, the wine was a tad more full than I was expecting. Crushed stone, nectarine, and grated ginger on the nose led to a silky balance of ripe fruit and just enough acidity to make each swallow a pleasure. While not possessing the crushing acidity that I crave sometimes in my riesling, this particular vintage was a pleasure to drink. 91pts.

Aroma: interesting combination of herbal, floral and fruity aromas. Hard to characterize. Palate: spicy and perhaps a bit yeasty with quince and Bosc pear flavors. Nice balance of richness and acidity. Good length.

Wine 3 of 7 on NYE
Smelled like plastic whoa, out of a big burgundy glass. I kinda liked it but some others didn't. Tropical fruits in the nose too. It was wild. (88)
(Much better day two - loved how it mellowed.) (90)

I liked this - very solid, but something felt a little off, but a good effort nonetheless.

Pears and stone fruit on the front, with some citrus zest, nice back end. Good acid profile. Solid effort, but a bit muted somehow.

Horrible taste and smell. First Riesling in years, what a huge disappointment.
