A fair amount of brown in the garnet tone. Herbs, earth, strawberries, and spice on the nose. Medium bodied, grippy tannins, tart cherries, dried pomegranates, and a long, tasty finish. I wouldn't wait too much longer if you have some.

Patience is rewarded. Decanted 1 hr. ahead off of zero (?) sediment. Bricky garnet color. Very nice nose showing plums, cherries, cedar, dried herbs. Excellent on the palate, with wonderful balance of fruit and good depth of flavors. Earthy notes join the proceedings in a moderately bright acid balance, delicious. The finish is long, drying, pleasant. Happy to have kept this wine.

Aromas of oak, blueberries, and other berries. Flavors mirror the aromas, with a nice freshness. Not like an Italian sangiovese, but its own thing, and good.

Similar to 2012, cherry cola and integrated oak. Balanced and plenty of stuffing, but doesn't really pop in terms of complexity and length. Drink over the next few years.

Decanted 90 mins. ahead. Bricky garnet color. Nice nose of white pepper, cherries, dried herbs. Light bodied, nearly evanescent on the palate, as black cherry flavors intensify. Acid balance is moderate. Finishes fast with drying, very light tannins. A completely good and food-worthy wine, but I wish it had more stuffing.
