This has all the nice characteristics of Viognier: ripe peach, apricot, honey, butterscotch, smokey minerals, with candied ginger, white pepper, and sweet flowers on the finish. Just a faint hint of popcorn/cereal on the finish too. Oily rich texture with lanolin notes. I can’t think of anything bad to say about it, but I also feel like it doesn’t pop the way a top Condrieu can and my food pairings didn’t work out as well as I was hoping (not necessarily the wine’s fault). Very good, but not in the same league as the Vernay Coteau de Vernon from a few months ago (to be fair, that wine was over twice the price as this one and it is considered the top Condreiu out there). Like the Vernay, I liked this better on it’s own, which is too bad, because I’ve had some great Viognier and food pairings.

Clear pale gold with a clean medium intense floral aroma with stone fruits. Dry, high acid and medium alcohol and body with a medium+ flavour intensity with good minerality. Slightly unctuous on the palate with a medium+ finish. Excellent, drink now or hold.

Ahhh. This is what viognier should be. Honeysuckle and ripe orchard fruits from peaches to tangerines backed up by a slight slate minerality and just a faint kiss of wood spice.

Very complex, nice fruit, oak flavours nicely integrated This is a real stunner and - in my opinion - considering its relatively moderate price very good value Clearly the best white wine I had over the last weeks!

not oxidized like the previous bottle. same storage conditions=some bottle variation. quite lithe given the vintage and low acid... still rich.

temp control stored bottle already showing significant oxidation. 1 of 3 and oxidation seems to work well in this wine

A wine of wonderful balance and poise. Just as I remember it was back when I bought these.
Medium bodied with that tell tale apricot and white peach.
Compact, line and length. with lovely acidity to balance out the flavours.
Well produced Condrieu! No flabbyness or oilyness you tend to get from this varietal.
Drink or hold for another 5 years.

Excellent young Viognier. Honeysuckle. Great pure medium mouthfeel. White flowers, with some lightly smoked oak on day 2
