A producer I implore all to seek out. Benchmark, with this being one of the best Oz SB out there, but best younger. Much more developed than the primary 2017 I had last year that blew me away.
Nosel - Sour, savoury cooked lemon, preserved lemon, tropical papaya, a bit grapey. Undertone of nutty/yeast.
Pal - Broad, concentrated but precise. Citrus dominant, crisp high acid, green apple skin, steeliness, into developed nutty and cooked lemon. Kiwi and lime.
Fin - Sour white grapefruit, lees.

Grapefruit and lemon bouquet, clean. Through onto palate though much more intense. The wine itself looks so pale it’s like water but the intensity of the flavour is amazing. This is a very dangerous wine as it is so gluggable, it’s very easy to finish a bottle off - which we did! As it warmed there was a slight metallic taste and a bitterness so drink cold. If you do, it’s perfect.

Water white in colour; pretty nose with lime citrus & floral hints. Touch of minerality present also; nice texture here, good flavour. Falls away a little quickly on the finish.

Great aromatics of freshly cut grass, tomato leaf, papaya and guava. Easy-drinking, a bit sweet on the palate, but well-balanced and not overpowering. Will come back to this.

Shaw & Smith/Tolpuddle tasting (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Fresh cut grass, muted passion fruit, floral top notes and a tiny touch of honey. Zesty acidity, touches of apple and passion front, bit of front of mouth grip. Medium plus length. Hmm touch of spice/alcohol warmth on the back of the palate

Appearnce: (very) pale straw, clear Nose: some passion fruit; citrus - lemon, grapefruit. Some herbal aromas Palate: good structure and acidity, citrus dominates the palate along with the lighter tropical fruits, a touch of salinity and maybe a hint of ginger. Lovely

Green fruit, gooseberry aromas intensify after 15 minutes in glass
Almost prickly, sharp gooseberry; smooth texture, peardrop on finish of long fresh acidity
