2 hour decant. Very pleasant, medium bodied, balanced and beautiful wine. Ruby red, mix of red and black fruits, spices, mint, pepper, tobacco, licorice and some cedar wood. Nice acid, soft tannins on long finish.

Glass decanted 2.5 hours before we sipped. A beautiful, silky and pretty wine. Spectacular aromas toggling between red and black fruit spectrum, almost purée like fruit and vanilla bean aromas, light on its feet, fresh acidity and has quiet intensity that lingers on the palate. Cheers 🍷🍷

Very silky and pretty wine. 2.5 hr decant, ruby red to purple. Sigaro vineyard is in St Helena facing Lake Hennessy. Refined, polished and velvety, gorgeous notes of blackberry liqueur, cherry pie, dusty cocoa, melted licorice, tar and tobacco. Svelte on the palate, ample body, creamy chocolate with light tannins on a nice finish.

This bottle is really beginning to fill out and deliver on its potential. Balanced and smooth tannins with black fruit and black licorice on the palate. The overall weight is the only thing holding it back from being a great wine. As posted in my previous TN, it just can't handle a big dry aged steak. open with a book or a filet and enjoy.

Smooth and delicate. Sitting down to discuss this wine would be the way to enjoy it and if the wine was tasted only in this environment, my evaluation would be much higher. Beautiful color and extremely soft tannins.
But, pair it with a seared 75 day dry aged rib eye and this wine gets swallowed whole. While it's beautiful, the wine doesn't have the power to fight with food.
The results were the same with a PNP on bottle number two as compared to a 2 hour decant with bottle number one. Therefore, feel free to drink now. No need to hold these bottles.

Fabulous! opened and decanted and 3 hours later it was a wonderful blue berry bomb on the nose and palette with a floral bouquet joining the blueberries.

Red and purple coloring with mostly red fruit, including raspberries and cherry. Medium bodied, well integrated tannins, slight chocolate taste on the finish. A nice wine, but not memorable. 93-94 points but due to the price, 93 points for me.

Tasted at Fairchild member tasting event in NYC as guest of a member. This was a very nice event in and very generous of Lawrence Fairchild. All the wines presented were big, rich, modern and ripe with relatively high ABV's. As a rule This style is not my favorite but most of the wines tasted tonight were clearly well made in this style with exceptional attention to detail. The wine is deep dark garnet purple with a nose of ripe blueberry and boysenberry. It is very soft on the palate with fairly low acidity and little detectable tannin. Blue/black fruit recurs intensely on the palate with surprisingly, a relatively short finish. Very luxurious and ready to drink with the right food, may be better in a few years but I don't think this will be better much beyond 10 years old.

Fairchild Wine Tasting (St Helena California): A beautiful ruby red color that had very good viscosity. The smell of the wine was wonderful with scents of dark berries. The taste was not overpowering for a young cab, which was surprising considering that the wine lacked transparency in the glass with a very pronounced nose. The acidity was on target and the mouth feel was medium to heavy. Flavors of dark fruits exploded on the palate with a nice finish of blackberry, dark cherries and chocolate. This is a very nice wine and can age another 20 years. Score 93

Lovely wine and drinking well at present, Paired great with a grilled steak and caesar salad.
I always know when we really love a wine because my wife and I keep an eye on each other with each pour. gotta to measure out the ounces.

Warm floral plumeria nose. Even palette with few tannins. Velvety, oaky, chocolate covered raison - take me to the movies - finish.

Tasted with the winemaker.
Pritchard Hill - 100% Cabernet. Clones 4 and 7.
Medium red color. Strong aromas of blackberry and loam.
Dry with a medium-full body. Crisp acidity. Medium tannins GREAT balance with strong flavors of blackberry, chocolate and slight smoke. Great finish.
Amazing wine.
