Tasting lunch. Had a bit of nutty, oxidative notes right after opening but they blew off. Rich and sunny for a burgundy but with the structure to carry it. I liked the subtle sou cherry and torrefaction notes here, reminiscent of the Ponsot style.

This is super pretty and starting to get into the zone. Expressive but classy notes of black fruit, blueberries, also some red berries, cinnamon and christmas spices, also some leather, sous-bois, some minerality too, there is also some balsamic notes too, and a touch of menthol. It‘s pretty full-bodied, with medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin that has very good quality. NIce freshness too. Pretty long finish with plenty of complexity. A really pretty Corton.

The wine at first was very rough but with a several hours of decant the wine really transformed with notes of spice, red sour cherries, heady acid. Would strongly recommend trying this 5 - 8 years later.

First slightly closed, but opens up nicely in the glass. Perfumed notes of black and blue berries, also some red berries, animalic notes of leather, underwood, pepper, some sexy spicy oak notes, dark mineral notes. Medium-full bodied, with medium+ tannin that is silky and ripe but sneaking up on you. Medium+ acidity providing excellent freshness. Pretty long finish with a lot of tension and minerality. Could still use a few more years but already showing beautifully.

Glorious red Burg -- seamless, silky, loads of black fruit and cassis but totally in balance with freshness and minerality and earthiness. Spicy and exotic but not oak heavy. Gorgeous.

Terroirs de Corton - Les Grands Jours (Corton Burgundy): Wine tasting. Slightly subdued red fruit aromas followed by lush, powerful red and black fruit on palate. Well textured and balanced already for a young Corton, but with the stuffing and dry extract to last for decades.

Very nice, if typical, red burg. Nicely balanced. Touch of brett.

Decanted about an hour. Excessive fine sediment.

Excellent. Smooth mouthfeel. Lever tannins with underlying power. Drinking well but may still improve.
