Had at a steak house. Dark fruit and tobacco on nose, which came through on the palate. Well balanced. Mouthfeel a little thin, but overall a pleasurable wine which went well with dinner.

Drank on Easter after a fabulous trip to E WA and CA. Slight vegetable on nose and palate prior to decanting. Strawberry and heavy and faintly chalky mouthfeel. Silky.

Good cabernet, very full but not quite the lasting finish of the 2000. Dominated by oak early on, but the fruit reveals itself after some air time. A bit more one-dimensional than the 2000 as well, and I am betting that this one should be consumed earlier rather than waiting. Yummy dark fruits, cherries.

The Seven Hills Cab is probably my favorite Januik wine (Klipsun Merlot is up there too). Needs at least 4 hours of decanting, then dropping the temp back down to at least the low 60's (outside BBQ in the spring!). I love the flavor that the Seven Hills vineyard produces year after year. I just need to take a sensory evaluation class or talk to Mike more to identify the different flavors. All I know for sure is that this wine is a pretty big red, lots of dark fruits and oak, long finish, great aromas.

Round and soft with red fruit that develops finishes with a long fig & licorice note.

Great nose after being open for an hour. If this was a little less $$$ I would buy a lot more
