Strawberry/ raspberry, a little oakiness, maybe some wet stalks. Acidity kept in check but this is not flabby at all. Surprisingly soft. Has Barbera shortness to it, but a refined and very good Barbera Score: 91. Relative to expectations: +

Never again will I use the phrase “it’s only a Barbera”. This wine is fantastic and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Hand on heart, I’ve drank Barolo’s and Barbareso’s that aren’t as good as this.

Blueberries and fresh rubber on the nose. The palate doesn't have a ton of complexity but the bright acidity shows through. Not developed enough to warrant a higher score and I don't think this will change with more bottle time.

Tasted this at a wine tasting at Italian Wine Merchants. This is much more complex and concentrated than your typical barbera. Vines are 45 years old and they use all new barriques so you get much more oak in the wine. Darker color as I recall, full bodied and very nice combination of fruit and oak. Probably one of the most interesting and best barberas I have had.

Veldig flott babera, helt ulik det jeg har smak før. Flott mørke bær og høst. Fin frukt og syre. Matvin som er en glede å drikke.

Much more depth than what I would have expected in a Barbera. Great red fruit, good balance of acidity and tannins. Impressed..
