Surprisingly the bottle still was very enjoyable, and gained weight over the 3 hours.
Would agree pretty much straight down the line with MM tasting notes on 5/13/20. I did get a little bit of woody cedar flavor, but very subtle. The fruit was a bit muted, but still evident and was amazed do find very little sediment in the bottle. Cork was perfect as well.
Definitely think they have seen their best days, but think these will hold pretty much at the current state for some years to come. No sense in holding 'em if ya got em!!

From 5L. Deep crimson color. Strong green, cassis and cranberry initial nose carrying-over to palate. Tart but not drying. Steadily moderated over 2 hrs to nicely balanced black cherry, anise and cranberry. Long but not rich finish. No cedar or woody notes. Properly cellared, EASILY holding here in this format for 5+ yrs. A great tribute to the vintage.

Clearly way past its best years and just hanging on. Nose is tar and camphor, not pleasant, color is browning... but it's still nice to drink, at least for the first 40 minutes after decanting. It seems to be fading rather quickly, a common trait of old wines that are dying. Glad it was my last bottle.

Ruby color with slight bricking on the edge and a muted nose of mature red fruit and cedar. Black raspberries, cassis, cedar, past their prime but still well-integrated together and a smooth wine with an edge of cranberry and Napa dust on the finish.

Deep red in color with a minimum of mahogany on the edge. The nose is subdued but complex dark red fruit with some barnyard. The fruit is not distinct the way it would have tasted 10 years ago, but is still present at a reduced level. There is still good balance with a noticeable tannin presence and earth and barnyard on the palate.

6.0 liter bottle. 25 years old and still fresh and plenty of fruit, perfectly aged and fabulous. Drank with 20 twenty five year olds. My Daughters birthday.

Past its prime, but still a lovely bottle of wine. Initial aromas of dried (cooked?) fruit faded away over the course of the evening, making way for earth, meat and a bit of barnyard. There was still structure to the wine and the moderate tannins and earthy, rustic palate paired nicely with my grilled NY strip; but the dark current and green pepper notes I was looking forward to had diminished to the far background (if they were there at all).

The bouquet was quite enticing. Too bad that that was the only thing that was. I agree with the post that noted the dried up fruits. There is a total lack of harmony and balance. Too too bad. It is not vinegar, and there is a ton of worse wine out there. However, given the vintage and the producer, I had expected a whole lot more.

A gift from a friend's cellar and it's the thought that counts. Unfortunately the fruit on this wine has dried up leaving a very woody taste. Not rated.

At London Wine Bar with MPL. Medium-ruby. Very pretty. Very rich, deep nose, though still somewhat closed. Very nice on entry, better at mid-plate with a super finish. Complex. A real winner. 5-11-16-8: 90/100.

The aroma is of dark fruit, with raisins, black currant, black berries all very concentrated and matured.
The wine is very elegant with extremely long taste and both great acidity and tannins

Still shows signs of life, though not much left. Should have had 3-5 years ago, but very pleasant nonetheless

3 Bordeaux vs. 3 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Open, fruity nose and mouth, elegant taste, tannic finish.
My #3 of 6.
