Dark Red in color with hints of licorice and vanilla. Aerated leveraging Aervana. Some sediment with wine tasting being very smooth and great finish beginning to end.

Lovely showing, nice concentration on both the palate and nose. Juicy currant and dark plum fruit. Lovely currant and dark berry nose, hint of mint. Enticing and beautiful. Nuanced and interesting as well as having juicy sweet fruit though with a dry finish. First time with Chimmney Rock and really impressed

Quite lovely ! All the good stuff out of stags leap district, the wine is in perfect place developed and at the same time can take quite a few years in the cellar. Beautiful red and dark fruits , soft pallet with resolved tannins and a hit of violet flowers. No faults can be found just not as concentrated hence a 92-93 score. Enjoy !

From a Magnum I bought at Total Wine for $200 or so after having been in Mexico for 6 weeks and just wanted a nice red wine to share with my family in San Diego. Pulled the cork out two hours before dinner. Took a sip after an hour or so. Was surprised how soft this was out of a Magnum. I was a CR Wine Club Member and never found these wines long agers. I mostly drank them at 5-7 years after vintage.
That being said the wine had nice cassis, chocolate, earth, spice with medium mouthfeel. It was fairly simple lacking in depth and extraction but still very good. I would drink this wine up in 750ml bottles as it’s not likely to improve much from here as acidity is low. Still quite enjoyable but probably wouldn’t pay the money for it again. Drink up.

Exceeded my already high expectations. Opened 2 hours before the first glass. Stag's Leap at its best. Cherry, cassis, elderberry. Some minerality. Well integrated and a medium finish. Glad I have a few more.

First thing that I noted upon opening on the nose was a slight mint smell. First taste matched up as well then got hints of blackberry and cassis. Tannins were not strong but what I would term as medium. As I progressed on the first glass, the taste seemed a bit muted and somewhat soft. Not much of a fruit taste. Will decant it overnight and re-taste the following day. Will try to give another review.

There was a brief window that I thought that wine might have been worth a couple more points more but time gave that away to a pretty meh bottling. I'll be the first to admit I'm spoiled with small boutique wine but I have enjoy larger production (sequoia grove) in the past and this is just okay. At $80 retail this should've had more fruit being that it's from Stags Leap. Nose was 80% there but that was about it. Consumed over two days.

Amazing how this wine has changed over the last two years. Decanted an hour before dinner and from that pour deep notes of dark cherry and cassis emerged. As dinner progressed the wine seemed to lose the massive nose of dark fruit. A very balanced wine emerges with a smooth finish with a solid tannic bite. Would imagine this wine will have a number of years left to go. Can’t go wrong opening now, but could be rewarded with a couple more years of cellaring.

Overall disappointing for the price point. Never opened up despite 2+hours decanted. Disappointed I have another bottle that very likely won’t be better.

Drank over 2 nights. I enjoyed but was not at all impressed given the price. This would have been a good $25-30 Cabernet. Lacked the great Napa fruit and complexity I would normally expect from a wine in this price range.

Fill was into the neck and the cork was sound; popped and poured. Youthful purple core with no bricking. Notes of blackberry, cassis, hints of cherry and spice box. Medium bodied, ripe tannins, quite balanced, good depth and length. Almost elegant for a Napa Cab, I truly enjoyed this.

At first sip, I thought it was flawed because the finish was metallic and astringent. After an hour, it became a true Napa Cab but not quite up to par with other Cabs from Stag's Leap district. Overall I found it to be a solid wine but lacking the fruit-driven profile and terrior of most well made wines from that area. Bought as part of a collection; my cost was $40, so I'm glad I didn't pay any more.

Nice cab, I often get down on Chimney for their QPR, but this has great structure, nice cherries peaking through and med- tannins. I think drinking perfectly right now.

Night one was closed and taut. Poured a glass, recorded, and stuck in the fridge. Night two was a different animal. Blue fruit, tobacco, and plenty to of structure to boot. I’d imagine another 3 years in bottle will see this improving dramatically.

Slightly disapointed. I found the 2013 to be a worthy effort and worth a go if you can find $65 dollar range. However 2014 is a couple paces behind and appears to be average at best.
I'll buy it at a restaurant when options are limited but won't stock any ar home.

Not tannic, but not as exciting as some of their past issues have been. Plum and berry flavors with mineral notes and a bit of forest; finish features some menthol. This has always been a great dinner wine, and still is.

Paired with medium rare Prim Rib, very nice showing for such a young Cab, plenty of dark currant, cassis, dark plum, chocolate, silky smooth finish. Already throwing off sediment, even though approachable now should improve over the next 5 years or so.

Moderate Cabernet Sauvignon flavors and light terroir markers, with excessive oak treatment, and very light tannin. Fairly strong sense of manufacture throughout.

Deep ruby red with a purplish hue. A bit of heat on the nose with black currants and cassis. Moderate tannins (7/10) with lots of fruits, red berries, black cherries, raspberries, cassis and slight anise. Medium plus body and medium finish. Not fully developed yet, needs time. Drink till 2027.
Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend made up of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
