Still showing lots of jam and cherry licorice. Finish was longer than noted in previous bottles with star anise, black pepper, and a Vicks Formula 44D streak comes through at certain points.

Tasted is right after opening, and decided some time in the decanter was needed.
Could see the legs in the wine which told me this was high in alcohol. Definitely got some plush hammy fruit, hints of pepper and slightly elevated tannins and acidity. Medium finish as it didn't linger on the palate too much longer after drinking. Probably worth cellaring for 5-7 years, as it will allow the tannins to become more integrated and the acidity to drop.

Fruit is both fat and direct, enjoyable, playful, free running like the best Barossa-shiraz-wines. Nice length, balance, too easy to drink, really ... #test

Very approachable at this young age for a Bella vintage. Quite extracted and sweet; lots of jammy fruit and plum, with simple but moderate length finish. Hoping this develops with age.

GT Wine Tope Tasting Barossa Shiraz (8 Danks street, Sydney): Over-ripe blackberry and plum, touches of prunes as well, plenty of sweet and savoury spice, cedar, cream. Thick and almost off dry, tight black fruits and tannins with slight peppery spice. Big. Not for me.

I'm a huge Two Hands fan but this vintage seems to be lacking what I love about the Bella's Garden. Nice spicy nose but lacking on the fruity, layered palette. I have 2 more bottles let's see down the road.

A good oenological wine, without much sense of place. This wine is made, not grown, obviously.
Overly sweet, alcoholic and extracted, the wine lacks real grip or structure let alone nuances to call it truly great. Yet it possesses all the essential elements of a generic premium Barossa Shiraz: full-body, high alcohol, sweetness on the palate from attack to the after taste along with jammy black fruit flavors and some black pepper. You can't say a bad thing about this wine, yet it doesn't leave you super impressed. Good choice for the money, though.

Samantha’s Garden (Clare Valley) vs Bella’s Garden (Barossa) vs Harriet’s Garden (Adelaide Hills). An interesting tasting- identical winemaking technique, but different vine locations. The Clare Valley and Barossa has similar perfumed nose. Both are concentrated, mouth-filling wines flushed with blueberries, plums, and violets, but the Clare Valley has a more complex, rounder mid-palate sensation with a longer aftertaste. In contrast, the Adelaide Hills has a completely different flavor profile. Less fruit intensity than the other two, with wet mushroom, iron, and raspberries on the palate. A great experiment in South Australian Shiraz’s. 95 Samantha’s Garden, 94 Bella’s Garden, 91 Harriet’s Garden.

Deep dark red with a purple hue. Lifted notes of blackberry, dark chocolate, baking spices, hung meats, lavender and pipe smoke. This Shiraz is rich and generous in all proportions. The fruit crashes and cascades across all corners of the palate as only a Barossa Shiraz can. Deep notes of blackberry, chocolate, baking spices and smoked meat are complimented by floral top notes of lavender and potpourri. Lovely and textural across the palate, the gritty, savory tannins are accentuated by notes of pipe smoke, coal dust and wet earth. A refreshing burst of acidity provides the perfect foil to compliment a long deep finish.

Consistent style with ripe blackcurrants and touches of eucalyptus as in previous years
Palate follows the nose with soft black currants and plums, savoury layers woven through soft tannins to long intense finish
