I second the descriptors used by Jeremy Holmes 10 years ago when he described the wine as having notes of lemon, pear, minerals and acid. It has gotten a bitt broad and slightly creamy but not at all fat. Really fills the mouth and shows no signs of overt age. A lovely wine, if not worth what you might have to pay for it today.

This has been a fabulous drink for the past decade and it keeps powering on. It is gently candied and has some tinned fruit aromas and flavours. It is full and rich and feels like structural elements are close to being fully resolved in the mouth. It builds, is textural and is quite a sensual and harmonious wine.

Coche Corton dinner. Slight flint nose with high acidity, saline palate. Balance stands out, not over the top. Still waiting for wow experience with Leroy Corton. (130/1752)

Quite youthful with notes of preserved lemon, spiced pear, smoky minerals and white flowers. Rich, intense and sappy in the mouth with great cut and drive.

Haut Brion Night @ The Square- we drank this with langoustines and the wine was amazing, so balanced and clean, fills the mouth with lemony mineral taste, touch of wood wax. so young. this wine filled out and was better and better as dinner went on

Super dense, complex and intense. On the nose there’s smoke, preserved lemons, nougat and beeswax. It has fabulous shape and concentration in the mouth. It is so dense and sappy yet has the sense of weightlessness that only the very top echelon of the world’s wines possess.

Drinking beautifully due to its perfect balance but still so incredibly young. Beautiful minerality - like white rocks in a grand cru chablis. The wine is so rounded it's almost spherical. Give it another 5-10 years and this wine will be amazing.

Beautifully fine and detailed on the nose showing whiffs of dried flowers, lemon curd and pure white peach. The wine is a cold steel blade in the mouth and it is so sharp that it nearly draws blood (lucky it doesn’t as the squeeze of lemon on the finish would be very painful). This is rich yet compact, long dense and chalky and is one of the best wines I have drunk this year.

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Wow, lemon cream, mature aromas intermixed with freshness, rich, very grand in every aspect.
