Slightly more ripe, rustic, and feral than the chic '90, and not quite the same finish. But this certainly makes up for it in depth of fruit and is arguably as pleasant to drink, it just scratches a different itch.

Old tasting note from 1993. 18/20 Very deep hue. Smoky, musky, berry fruit, licorice. Full-bodied, spicy, pepper, hickory, tarry element great balance. Very long finish. good use of barrels. will improve
