Burgundies at 67PM: Realised I had this wine 3 years ago and in comparison this showed some secondary development. Guessed a Gevrey from a warmer vintage like 2012 because of the iron, slightly alcoholic notes. Wasn’t showing well at first as the dark fruit appeared too dense and muddled, but it improved a lot with air. The power subsided and the quality of fruit came through with pure blueberry notes.

Lunch at Yuzu; 9/5/2020-9/6/2020 (Yuzu): A step up from the previous wines. Judicious oak use, very appealing from the get go. Had good tension and energy, verging on over-ripeness but didn’t cross the line. Only slight on the wine was that it had less precision than the Bruno Clair.
