Strong oak aromas. Intens rich flavours. Richt black fruit, Cherry, berriefruit, plums and spices such as cloves, laurel, cinnamon, pepper. Earthly. Warm medium bodied wine. Hints of tear in the aftertaste. Soft tannins, well balanced. Long delightfull finish.

Super high JH score? Just middling for mine. Ripe but mostly in check. Dark fruits, a little spice, hot licorice. Lots of balance but fails to grab me in a big way. Doesn't go the final mile. Time?

Black red colour with a bright crimson hue. Light dry Aroma of straw, grilled meat, shrubbery and black berries. Very fine tannin coats the tongue almost immediately, not grippy in any way. Sweet berries; plum, blackberry, blueberry. Not heavy but i would still say full bodied. Smooth acidity and with every taste the tongue ends up with that light coating of tannin. I think it is still too young, another couple of years better blend in that persistent tannin, still a great wine though, the flavour and body is there and incredibly smooth.

Starting to come into drinking window now. I would give it 6-12months longer, but great now once it gasps some air. Fruit is present, but not forward or stealing the show, and tannin creates good balance melding with the fruit well. Still a little dry on the finish for a GSM, but I feel this may improve as it softens a little further. Finish is a little short, but the flavour lingers just long enough.

98 points from James Halliday, $30 a bottle, what could go wrong? A delightful nose that promises a wine of intensity, smooth finish on the palate. A great buy.

We gave this an 8 (out of 10) for the food pairing tags with a vegetarian tomato based lasagna.
Not a perfect match as the wine was a little overpowering, but nonetheless, a good match.
Medium garnet, black cherry and plum on the nose and palate. Dry, high alcohol, balanced, medium tannins, long finish. Leather and wet leaves.
Very enjoyable.

Loads of sweet cherry and raspberry, bordering on red frogs, with a long earthy/fruitcake finish with tannin that is silky and smooth. Great wine

Wow. This wine completely stopped me in my tracks. Probably the best wine I’ve had this year.
Refreshing acidity balancing raspberry and blackcurrant fruit. Silky tannins headed for the horizon like the NeverEnding Story.
Medium-bodied but complex enough that you could convince yourself it was from Tuscany.
The 14.5% ABV is seen but not heard.
Years ahead surely but if you own this wine I’d start drinking now. Because why not? It’s drinking so well now.
This is the first bottle from my case, with the following names written on remaining bottles: Rafe, Carey, Andrew, Michael.
Almost one of those wines to tell your grandkids about.

Still dark ruby, darker than a single Grenache. Perfume and heady, the tannins still quite firm. Very long finish, plums

Amazing GSM! I’ll take this over Joshua any day and the 2014 is drinking superbly now.

8/10/2018 - tobyc Does not like this wine:
Tasted at a tasting.
A GSM-blend which lacks finesse and elegance.
My notes: Sweet liquorice, dark fruits, herbal.
