We gave this an 8 (out of 10) for the food pairing tags with a vegetarian tomato based lasagna. Not a perfect match as the wine was a little overpowering, but nonetheless, a good match. Medium garnet, black cherry and plum on the nose and palate. Dry, high alcohol, balanced, medium tannins, long finish. Leather and wet leaves.Very enjoyable.
Loads of sweet cherry and raspberry, bordering on red frogs, with a long earthy/fruitcake finish with tannin that is silky and smooth. Great wine
Wow. This wine completely stopped me in my tracks. Probably the best wine I’ve had this year.Refreshing acidity balancing raspberry and blackcurrant fruit. Silky tannins headed for the horizon like the NeverEnding Story.Medium-bodied but complex enough that you could convince yourself it was from Tuscany. The 14.5% ABV is seen but not heard. Years ahead surely but if you own this wine I’d start drinking now. Because why not? It’s drinking so well now. This is the first bottle from my case, with the following names written on remaining bottles: Rafe, Carey, Andrew, Michael.Almost one of those wines to tell your grandkids about.

Still dark ruby, darker than a single Grenache. Perfume and heady, the tannins still quite firm. Very long finish, plums
