First of a case - healthy medium crimson- blueberry, fresh flowers, and strong mint - lively tartness - smothered tannins present - nice window - rest of case likely to evaporate in a just a few years now.

Vinetasters: Young Northern Rhône (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Slightly dirty. Quite rustic, fairly dry and high acidity but also with barnyardy elements. Feels resolved but lacks fruit; perhaps it's drying out a bit? Feels slightly hollow on the palate too. My 9th, group's 12th.

Unbridled Syrah, drinks like a mini-Côte-Rôtie - and would, probably, beat many af them in a blind tasting. Smooth, elegant, very much the domaine-style, black fruit, olives, silky finish; still a young wine, very early days for this.

Best Cotes du Rhone I've ever tasted. I was shocked. Silky smooth, lovely delicate but concentrated red-blue fruits, silky tannins, nice floral note. Cote-Rotie in sheeps clothing. Four Seasons Beverly Hills Somm party
This certainly is not your everyday CdR. From the website: Appelation Côtes du Rhône Geology Schists Grape varieties 100% Syrah Vinification Grapes destemmed and macerated for a fortnight Maturing 12 months in oak barrels used for 4 to 5 earlier vintages Plot Lézardes, Cognet, Plomb, Champrond, Tartaras

Popped and poured. Have some mixed feelings about this wine’s performance tonight. The nose is terrific as blackberries, plums, smoked meat and spices come through in an elegant and sophisticated way. The palate opens nicely with medium bodied well balanced black fruit flavors. Moving into the finish there is more leather and white pepper but here the wine has a very dry, astringent character. After an hour in the glass it subsided a little so maybe with more time it gets better?

Restrained and with dark berries on the nose. Really nice and inviting. In the mouth mouthwatering, juicy and with a delicate, balancing tannic grip. This is a Cote des Rhone punching way above it’s weight. Really, really nice and proof to the fact that in lack of big money, you should go for the lesser wines from the top producers.

This is still youthful after five years but also gives lots of joy and pleasure. Needs a couple of hours decant. Elegant dark fruit and spicy overtones. Rosemary, juniper and pepper. Early stages of hanged meat aromas are starting to develop. Deep dark fruit on the palte but with hints of elegance to be found in his Cote Rotie. Lingering sweet oak in the finish. Superb Cotes de Rhone.

Helt stum ved åpning. Slått over på karaffel og drukket over en time pluss, uten at mye skjer. Vinen åpner seg litt, men forblir utrolig kompakt og mørk på duft. Savner nyanser og lyse topptoner slik den har hatt plenty av før. God balanse mellom vekt og eleganse i munn, mer chunky enn ‘17. Også her blir vinen dessverre aromatisk innesluttet. Medium lang finish. I «fase» eller bare rar flaske? NR

Short note - like a Cote rotie light, dark berries, smoke, cured meat, violets, pepper, long finish, well structured, a very good wine with potential for agening, wait at least 2-3years before opening next. Very good quality, 90p

Nice experience, 2015 slightly better then 2014. Great balance and complexity. The wine has a pallet of licorice, wood, and spicey notes, but still a fresh fruitiness. Strawberries, both on toungh and nose. The tannin structure are really smoth and delicate. Love the aftertaste, goes on for ever. Looking foreward to enjoy this over the coming years.

Lots of dark ripe fruit on the nose and palate, but with all the savory notes that keep the fruit in check. Clearly to the riper end of the spectrum. We popped and poured but I would give this an hour or two in the decanter for best expression or better yet wait 5 years.

Decanted 1,5 hour in advance. Absolutely delicious! Ripe, very floral, baking spice, raw meat, nice texture, lovely freshness and drinking so nicely! Very good value!

Flott syrefriskhet. Ferske og finkornede tanninner. Medium pluss lang syrepreget og fruktig utgang. Intet mindre enn en fantastisk vin for sitt nivå. Røverkjøp. Drikker vidunderlig, men vil naturligvis ha godt av å ligge.

Best CdR I ever had. Perfect balance of fruit and acidity. Tannins are gentle. Full of raspberries, smoked blackberry, plums, trace of meatiness. Acidity will help to live long life to this one. Very good value for money. Is way better than many Crozes in the market.

Beautiful stuff. Layers of flavors with great balance. Love when a top-flight producer crushes a humble appellation = magic.
