This wine is straight up boring, it’s flat and uninteresting and in a very good vintage with high-acid in most of the wines this Lacks that very quality. I would not imagine this was from 2013 age has not helped this wine at all it clearly is not going to go the distance.
NOSE: Ripe red Cherrys that are slightly overripe(oxidized), stewed strawberry, and dried cranberries. Brown Baking spices like cinnamon and that classic Tuscan funk.
PALATE: The nose seems muted and so does the palate just very underwhelming here it’s easy drinking tannins aren’t grippy like most Chianti it’s just go down easy. Palate is the same as the nose but some plummy notes here probably from Merlot being added at 10-20% knowing ruffino.
OVERALL: It’s not a horrible wine I think 85 is fair many people will say it’s smooth and good with pizza because it’s just not interesting and sad in such a good vintage this is what was made I don’t know why…I’m more disappointed than anything.
Bought it because it reminds me to the age when I bought my first bottles. Time changed a lot but this wine is still the same though the blend has changed slightly. Decanted an hour before dinner. Starts lean and elegant, opens up with every minute. On the nose typical warm Sangiovese flavours, on the palate fresh, medium bodied and long finish, good riserva typicity. A very good choice with Pizza and much better than expected after reading the previous tasting notes. Drink now or within the next four to six years.

Nose dominated by tomato with raspberry, cherry and dark chocolate. Easy on the palate with soft tannins and medium acidity. A rush of fruit forward flavours on the palate that die quickly in a disappointingly short finish.

Meduim Ruby with a thin clear rim. Cherry, sweet spices, vanilla/oak, and Earth on the nose. Palate has with elements of the above plus leather and tobacco. Good acidity. This wine is a relatively light-bodied Chianti otherwise typical of the genre. With Italian food, it makes for an easy pairing. Drink in the next year or so, as I don't see it improving.

Chianti is not one of our favorites so I don't want to be too judgmental, it was nice while having an Italian style salad. Don't mind experimenting at this price level.

Deep purple hue that opens with tomato leaf and potpourri aromas. Red currant and roasted tomato dominate up front while leather and tobacco layer on a lingering finish. Full-bodied, medium tannins and moderate alcohol. Give this wine time to breathe or you’ll miss the complexity and pleasure it contains.

As noted by other members, this chianti is light ruby in color, light bodied, the nose is pleasant but somewhat closed with elements of tart red fruits, a bit of earth and a hint of oak. Typical Chianti acidity and fine tannins on the palate, not very complex but well balanced. It is a workhorse of a wine, it delivers a perfectly reasonable experience for its price point, and its balance and classic 13.5% alcohol will allow it to match with a wide array of foods.

Popped from a half bottle. Earthy and oaky notes on the nose. Medium bodied, supple and smooth with gentle tannins, delivering mellow, a bit over ripe red fruit with oak and sous-bois. Felt almost that it is starting to go downhill. Don't think it is worth cellaring for long anymore. An easy quaffer.

I agree with the other comments it was on the lean side for a chianti and I also aerated the pour. May try decanting the next bottle. It was dry as I would expect, notes of cherries and spice but weak on flavor. Went well with pasta. I will be neutral on this until I try another bottle in a year or two.

I think Chianti is starting to grow on me but I thought this was pretty good, particularly after decanting and chilling slightly. The first sips using just the aerator had a slight bitter undertone, almost like an under-ripeness, but decanting improved it. Nice red fruit with slightly spicy finish. I agree with another comment about how the alcohol seemed hidden.

Color: Transparent ruby. Nose: Tart red berries. Raspberries, grenadine. Something herbal, too. Mouth: Quite a light Chianti Classico which is not bad per se. Cherries, too. The alcohol (13.5%) is very well hidden. Very good length and expressiveness. Lean and tight.

Deep ruby red colour. Cherries, tobacco, leather and pepper on the nose. Taste of ripe cherries with hints of herbs and dried fruits. Well structured. A good Chianti that will get better if kept for a couple of years. Goes well with beef, mature cheeses or poultry.

Medium body, bright ruby color. Intense red fruits, flowers, tobacco and leather aroma. Dominant fresh cherry and spicy palate, long finish. Rich but light and easy drinking, velvety structure, complex and well balanced, lovely berries acidity and firm tannins. Food friendly, clearly best match is pasta but tasted with Mediterranean salad and sheep milk feta. Serve 18º - 20º. Open one hour in advance. Drink now and next eight years.

Italian Wine Scholar at the Texas Wine School. Clear, medium to medium (+) ruby, with no sign of aging. The nose is clean, with red cherry, violet, herb and tobacco aromas, with only a slight hint of oak influence. The palate is dry, with medium to medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins and medium alcohol (13.5%). This blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon still seems a little young and closed. It would show best after a decant or from 2018 to 2023. Still, it's hard to argue with this much quality and balance in the $20-$25 range.

Ruby colored, with a very light body. Closed nose.
On the palate, cherry and a bit of orange peel. Finish has some fine tannins and some acidity.
Again, very light, almost not there. Got lost when faced with spaghetti and meatballs with marinara.
Needed a bit more body and flavor. A long decant didn't help.
Was expecting a bit more to be honest.
