  • Deep dark center, red/purple rim with a very little sign of age.
Sweet, blueberries, cassis, very slight VA (adds character), a little buttery, iron, some more lifted raspberry coulis on the finish.
Smooth, great fruit - plum, blackberry, nice toasty oak, good tannin and acidity, green olives, long finish.
Excellent Harrison Cab, intense, good now with air, but will be better in 2-5 years.

  • This wine has upside potential. It is probably 3 or 4 years from the top. These cabs seem to really be at their impressive state between 10 and 15 years, but this one definitely did not disappoint tonight. Served with Greek food, the very dense black cherry and volcanic property was very apparent in this wine. Black cherry cassis, herbal influence. Actually still very youthful and acidic entry, and the finish was a slight bit truncated I believe due to the stiff tannic character. I do look for this one to soften a bit on the front, and round out on the back in just a few short years. I would say the optimal drinking would be 2023 to 2024. I didn't decant this one, which was probably my biggest problem. If I had to cancel for about 2 hours, it probably would have shown better. Either way, it was gone within about 30 minutes between two drinkers, so......... Definitely worth owning or seeking out.

  • The color of royalty for which Odysseus coined the phrase the wine dark sea. Nose of plums and berries. Round mouth feel with faint notes of lavender. Allow decant time, drinking well now yet will live well for 3-5 years more.

  • From a 3 liter at Dr. Antonio Petrelli-Minetti memorial service Wm Harrison and my wife’s uncle. The bottle was super and was used as a toast to the passing of a generation.

  • This wine is in a GOOD spot right now. CT Average 93, and I'd say that this is about right but a bit low. 93-95 as this one still has probably 7-8 years before it is pop and pour. Acidic at the opening, but the patience (which we didn't have) would have served us well. Cabernet power from the front. Blackberry preserves, hint of mint, white pepper, hint of clove, middle that goes a little bit herbal, but still very considerable black fruit. Finishes strong, with pepper, spice. I know the last 750 I have is in danger, and hopefully I can also lay off the mag for at least a couple of years.

  • Plenty of new oak on the nose, vanilla on the palate, tartaric additions, puckering tannic finish.
    Skip.

  • Needs 3 years in bottle. Double decanted this wine, which helped considerably! This wine poured a dusty rose color into the glass. Black cherry dominated the nose, but there was also some blackberry and graphite. The entry showed a blackberry front, a little darker and floral in the middle. Finish is also quite floral, still rather acidic and lots of stiff oak tannin. Dusty and shale stone rich finish. Enjoyable classic Rutherford cab that doesn't try to be something it isn't. GREAT family owned boutique winery off the Silverado Trail. I cannot possibly sound more like a broken record then what I do giving my complete and total support to this Winery who puts heart and soul into everything they do. Pride shows in every bottle.
