I am neutral on this wine as for me it does not deliver to its price point. There is minerality behind the subtle vanilla oakiness and rose petal palate. This is medium plus bodied and has enough acidity to give this some elegance. Presents with a slightly disjointed bitter finish. Drinking now.

In finding this a little disjointed - this has fruit power and oak power but it’s just yet coming together. Sort of not as good a great Cali chards or Burgundy

I was expecting a little more having had the 2019 which was magnificent, but it was very balanced and perhaps was a poor pairing with the food (chicken in peanut sauce)

Great but a bit too young. It’s 7 years old but seems more like 2-3. Acid is still a bit forward. Looooong life ahead. Try again in a year or two, should drink well up to 2030 and beyond.

Amazing nose, intensity and complexity of a high-end burgundy. An appealing creaminess but with some tropical fruit notes. Fewer saline notes than in typical burgundy and well-restrained oak. On the palate, less creamy than I expected from the nose, more refinement and elegance driven by fresh acidity but lacks a bit in intensity. Long world-class finish. Great nose and finish but dips a bit in the middle. Never the less a very good chardonnay. Fairly priced.

SLDS Decadence 2021: Lemon, smoke and toast. Rich flavors, intense fruit but has structure sitting behind, mostly oak derived, to temper the exuberance of the fruit. Very good.

Hmm special. Blind I might guess Burgundy Grand Cru. Great balance of acidity and fruit. Lots of well judged oak. Corn on the cob, peach. Long, moderate complexity. Drink now and over the next 10 years.

Terroir-istes International - Australia-South Australia (Overgaauw Wine Estate): Subtle, provoking nose with plenty of intrigues. Passion fruit, apple tart, a smear of vanilla, halves of baked white nectarine. On the palate, it blossoms to a strident tightly wound acidity, chalk, lime, pulverised rock but against a creamy, sleek texture, incredible concentration, and persistent line and length. A polished, elegant wine, layered and on point. I think it will go much further though

I am probably under rating this wine. It is seriously good. Apples, bit of oak, great length and acidity. I need to let it warm up. I bought 2 cases and believe I made a very good buy. Shows how good Australian Chardonnay can be.

Great white Burgundy - Wine tasting dinner (At home): 4 flights tasted 1. Chablis: Vincent Dauvissat Les Clos magnum '08 (typical Dauvissat - compared directly to Raveneau it is richer, the intensity is a little too high, it is less delicate and less complex. It is an extremely good wine indeed, but Raveneau is even better 94/100) against Raveneau Les Clos '08 (i must admit my favourite Chablis - none beside or above Raveneau - takes time to open in the glass! Almost no flavours in the beginning but it opens up… Extremely delicate, high complexity and very good balance. Missed a little intensity in the aromas and flavours 95+/100) 2. P-M vs Meursault: Domaine Leflaive 1. cru. les Pucelles '12 (Pucelles is in general Leflaives best 1. cru. I love the minerality and the toast, no premox at all which makes sense since it is from 2012, 95/100) against Coche-Dury 1. cru Genevrieres '06 (lots of tertiary notes including hazelnut, I believe it is on the top or a little over the top, extremely good, drink now, 96/100) 3. Le Montrachet: Bouchard Pere & Fils Le Montrachet '09 (Definitely a good wine but not better than the Pucelles and Meursault above, it is Le montrachet and I would have expected a little more intensity, 95/100) against Comtes Lafon Le Montrachet '09 (The winner of the tasting, a little too intense but closed in the beginning but opens up in the glass and the intensity, complexity and balance end up being very nice. A top quality glass 97/100. Not many wines are better - but there are examples: I can recall DRC Le Montrachet '11 which was one step above) 4. Sundry: Kumeu River Hunting Hill '13 (Tasted blind - Recognised as a new world wine, more intensity than Bourgognes, 90/100). Penfolds Chardonnay Yattarna '15 (nice acidity and closer to Bourgogne style than usually from Australia, 93/100). Vocoret et Fils Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot '14 ( better than expected, a light wine, 90/100).

very ripe, very toasty on the nose. Still got enough acidity on the back end, and it was actually pretty high.

toasty, with plenty of lemon and flint. Opened up after an hour and it was beautiful, buttery, but not too sweet.

White peaches, grilled lemons and vanilla on the nose, very stringent acid on the palate and a luscious feel. Great wine, it hardly gets better.
