1 of 10 opened at 4:30 served at 7:30 Beautiful ruby red color, initial nose showed red fruit, some hints of spice and a muskiness that I hoped would blow off. After three hours in a decanter this cleaned up and opened up nicely. On the palate this was elegant with polished fruit, balanced with good energy and medium finish. Very drinkable now but I suspect better in a few years

About two years since I last tried this, and it is progressing nicely. The last bottle seemed a bit unruly initially, but this was great from the start. Cherry, raspberry and spice. Definitely has the stuffing to continue to age nicely.

PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Leaf” day): Brilliant ruby with purplish rims, overall still pale but quite deep already for a Burgundy.
Incredibly alluring musky, perfectly ripe wild darker red, blue berries on nose. Luxurious bouquet. Some meaty, sandalwood notes and elegant Vosne spices. Hint of reduction that blew off quickly. This bouquet is disarming to me.
A little more weighty and less welcoming (at this stage) on the palate matching the rich bouquet, but also great minerality and concentration of flavours. Quite a mouthful of ripe and fine tannins built for the long haul. Clean and persistent finish.
Still very primary at this stage but also crystal clear on its cellaring potential. 93-94 points.
1.5 hour upon opening: More ethereal and the pedigree of the wine really shows - The strong fruits started to blend in and now the palate is more minerality and fine boned acidity driven. More smoky and spices too. Retain at 93-94 points. This would be just great in another 5-10 years for sure.

Similar to last bottle earlier this year. Lovely Vosne village that should improve for 5-10 and hold for 20 years. Classy pure juice albeit not the most complex but also not trying to be.

Mixed feelings about this domaine. In warmer vintages like 15 the wines come across too sweet and I don't think they've gotten the balance right. I think pre 2010 the wines are much better.

Living up to the expectations of the house, this is a great village. Discrete nose with violets, dark berries, some cranberries too, Vosne spices. The palate shows the structure and ripe fruit of 2015 but as always there is the elegance and succulence of the MG wine making. Irresistible, take it if you have allocations. I think the drinking window for this will start in 2023.

We followed this over 4-5 hours. Initially this was tight and perhaps even a bit disjointed. After 2-3 hours of air it really started to come around and show well. I think this will be a very good vintage of this wine, but one that will reward patience - I’ll try to wait a couple of years before trying another.

Obviously catching this very early. But was on the wine list and I couldn't resist... Initially a bit tight but showing finesse and great cherry fruit. As it got more air it gained in weight. This is lovely juice. Not the most complex of wines but just the kind of village wine that puts a smile on your face for its effortlessness and yummy fruit.

Lekker nese med blomster, bær på den dype mørke siden, parfyme og svakt spice. Elegant og sexy. Ung åpen og fin, men har definitivt en oppside. Herlig frukt og nydelig friskhet - så deilig å drikke. Meget bra balansert. Lang presis finish. Finkornede lette, men markante tanniner. Vakker vin.

So classic and clean. No obsessive "producer stamped" nose like Bizet og Liger Belair, just clean Vosne spice, red bright fruit and very little wood. Not at all hot or thick from the vintage. Great stuff!

2015 Vosne-Romanée Village Blind Tasting (Chicago, IL): Single blind. Full nose of black cherry and spice is intense if a bit compact. Serious round, rich fruit and structure here. Underlying core of spice that is looking to emerge, but buried behind some wound up fruit. Not showing now, but clear stuffing that suggests upside.

2015 Vosne-Romanée AC blind (Chicago, IL): Served single blind in a flight of 2015 Vosne-Romanée AC. Seems intensely purple on the nose. Lots and lots of fruit, both on the nose and palate. Doesn't come across as particularly complex, and the palate seems relatively simple. There seems to be a light touch of oak here as well (or is that the Vosne spice?). Not entirely convincing.

A very good village wine from VR. Had it together with Anne Gros VR Les Barreaux 2010 and they were quite similar. Very drinkable and a lot better than the 2012, but maybe the 2012 had been opened too long. 92-93 pts.

Expressive delicious nose displaying opulent red fruits, sugar glazed raspberry and strawberry, coffee, sap, sweet spices, flowers and earthy mineral. Excellent concentration, nicely layered sweet red fruit, very silky and fluid, glycerin, bright acidity, good mineral expression and a medium to long opulent red fruit and mocha driven finish. It is opulent without compromising purity. This is a really generous and delicious village wine that will age well for the next twenty years.

Seductive perfume of roses and black fruits on the nose with silky tannins and a finish that lingers forever. Beauty and power perfectly in balance. I can only imagine what a few years in the bottle will do for this magnificent effort by the sisters. This is why I drink burgundy!

Always a great wine for its level. Nuanced nose, minimal tannins and no tertiary characteristics at this stage.
Just a solid producer and solid burgundy without going crazy on price.
