Fantastic bottle of California Chardonnay. Most of the current notes hit this on the head. Plenty of life ahead of it, and feels like it's just entering it's drinking window.

Citrusy with saline note on the finish. Plenty of acidity and surprisingly fresh for a Chardonnay that’s nearly 6 years old. Very well made, and if I had tasted it blind I would’ve probably guessed it to be from Chassagne Montrachet or Meursault.

PnP. Medium light greenish gold. Shy but complex nose of spices and citrus and sea sir. Medium weight on the palate which is dominated by citrus and very nice acid levels with plenty of phenolic backbone on the finish. This seems almost Chablis like in its restraint. I would expect this will continue to develop more complexity over the next decade.

Salvaged from 750ml. Fate forced my hand, after the bottle slid out of the wine fridge, effectively sabering the bottle at the lower neck upon contact with the floor. But what a beautiful young wine it is. Almost Riesling like in its savory aromatics, minerality and mouthfeel at this painfully young age. Can't wait to see how the remaining few bottles age.

Littorai Release Party (Littorai, Sonoma): Leaner, reductive style of New World Chardonnay. Similar to the Sonoma Coast. Slight struck match and flint (noble reduction), slight impression of spice from oak (~20% new or less), and strong med+ acid. Reticent fruit, but a touch riper than the Sonoma Coast. Alcohol is modest (~13.5% as well.)
I like this style of Chardonnay - steely, well-integrated, and balanced acid.

Absolutely smoking right now. Really great and well integrated bottle. A good bit better than the 2016 tributary tonight

Wines Before / At / After a Passover Seder (The Krengels - Bannockburn IL): Rich and powerful orchard fruit throughout with floral/ spiced hints, and a very engaging brightness and energy from start-to-finish. Very good now. Long and seamless finish.
