Excellent, if not truly special. There is good weight, mixed with white pear and oak spice elements. Smooth with nice acidity. It just lacks flavor depth. The kind of wine where everyone says, “oh that’s nice” but then nothing more is said. I like it but can’t get excited. (89)

This is good wine but not in the league of the best from this winery. Advanced golden color is followed by a rich and heavy wine that lacks a bit of nuance and complexity. Lime zest holds everything up yet there just isn’t the vibrancy or depth I usually associate with Littorai. I have one more bottle and will drink soon as this bottle is more advanced than the bottle tasted last summer. Good. QPR not great on this one. (89)

I like this. Golden color is followed by a robustly fruited nose that is layered and nicely prickly. Some zesty lime. Fullish palate that again is buffered nicely with some acidity. A bit more flamboyant than I typically like but it works. I think it is at peak and should be drunk. (91)

Really good and improved over last two years: Pear, apple, salinity, even some baking spice. Agree with recent comments: rich with moderate acidity keeps it in balance.

This was pure fire! Slightly reductive on opening, as it should be. The nose was pear, apple, flint, salt, chalk (how?), and lemon. The palate had this Jeckell and Hyde duality of laser like precision and richness - it seemed to bounce between the two at various times throughout the evening. The acid was perfectly balanced and mouth-watering. The finish, long and pleasant.

Always consistent and I'd buy a truckload if not for the ever increasing prices. Punches above its non designate weight for sure. This edition was surprisingly round and full and lower acid than one might expect for producer and SC. Delicious anyway. Lemon, pear, slight hint of oak and vanilla. Creamier than normal. Bottle will disappear. Drink soon.

Solid Chardonnay if underwhelming from this producer. Agree with previous comments: lower acidity, round, and easy to drink. Easy to miss the nuance. I did not get any reduction, including on tasting pour. Pear, toasted nuts; day two it turned a bit more tropical. Length is average, not layered.
Enjoyable, happy to drink again, just don’t want to buy again. And very excited to try Littorai’s 2015 vineyard designates in the coming years.

PnP. Light gold. Initially this is quite reduced as noted by others, with a match-stick, sulfur note. This blows off quite soon and then the nose is all about orchard fruits (peach and pear) with a hint of tropical characteristics speaking to the ripeness of it. On the palate this is quite round with lower acidity than I usually find in Littorai Chards. Ready to drink. Seems consistent with most Littorai 2015s which are bigger and riper with very low yields as compared to usual.

A fairly bold Chard for Littorai. Pleasant mouthfeel, with some acid and fruit -- thinking lemon, quince, persimmon. One taster mistook it for a Alto Adige wine.

Littorai Release Party (Littorai, Sonoma): Leaner, reductive style of New World Chardonnay. Slight struck match and flint (noble reduction), slight impression of spice from oak (~20% new or less), and strong med+ acid. The fruit is a bit reticent. Alcohol is very modest (I believe around 13.5%)
I like this style of Chardonnay - steely, well-integrated, and balanced acid.

Beautiful young chardonnay, very balanced, burgundian like with no butterscotch notes, very refined classy, citrusy, almonds and hazelnuts.
