Improved with air and still fresh on day #2. Lots of fresh strawberry and red fruit with mineral notes. Medium grained tannins still have plenty of grip.

Popped and poured. This is a ruby red wine. On the nose, I get sweet red cherries, pomegranate, spice mix, and black tea. In the mouth, this is firm yet graceful, with red fruit and damp earth aspects. The finish lingers nicely, with solid mouthwatering acid and medium tannin. Overall, this is a high-quality 1er Burg. It’s still young, but was enjoyable tonight and should improve with more age in bottle. 91 points.

Light body with plenty of perfume and sufficient complexity. Very light tannin and mild acidity. A very pleasant wine to drink. Paired well with mushroom and smoke duck appetizer.

Les Cailles = The Quails Super extracted cherry and a touch of red raspberry come out in the aromas along with some woodsy and dried herbal qualities. The tannins had a tight grip at first that softened a bit after a couple of hours. Plenty of life ahead.

90 pts today, but will warrant a better score with 5 more yrs in bottle. Decanted for 30 min before consuming. At first, the nose is reminiscent of a new world Pinot Noir with loads of fresh strawberry jam, but then the structure of the wine shows itself on the palate with some evidence of new oak on the finish. The fruit is pure and in balance, but overall it just needs time to integrate and mellow out. Hold if you want this to bring you the full Burgundian pleasure experience.

Vinen har en mørkere rød kjerne med lysere rød kant. Vinen er rik på nesen og kommer brått opp av glasset med sødmefulle og meget friske plommer samt lett undermodne bjørnebær. I tillegg kommer det forsiktig fram tiltrekkende røyktoner og pirrende mineraler.
Vinen er ganske så fyldig på paletten med herlig fløyelsmyk masse av saftige kirsebær, røyk, mineraler og lett lakris som blir guidet i vei av en flott syre og tanniner som beveger seg nesten usynlig rundt i manesjen. Du merker de knapt, du bare vet de er der. Dette var godt!

Good fruit and balanced.
There is some complexity too that would help it pair well with red meat or mushrooms.
