Like it's 2016 counterpart I found this wine terrific. Reminds me of the experience I had with a haut Brion blanc in its smoothness and round flavor profile. Aromatic nose of lemon dominated citrus notes. On the palette the wine is all melon and peaches. Finish is back to lemon rind with lingering dried mango.

I opened this bottle to use for cooking fish and then decided to have a glass since it was opened. I was very pleasantly surprised. Expressive, floral nose. Lavender, hibiscus, lilac, honey. Nicely balanced and good acidity. Drink chilled, it gets a little sweet as it warms.

Nose of peach stone, apricots, and minerals -- this wine is semi-dry with a fruit forward finish and a hint of oak. It bears similarities to Conundrum.

A highly unusual take on Sauv.blanc. Pear skin and green peach dominate the nose on this Napa Valley white. On Palate: some citrus and spice with a faint hint of oak, fairly full bodied and ripe. Goes well with Salmon and Sea Bass, but too heavy for shellfish, would also pair well with Chicken....not an ager due to low acidity, drink over the next year.

Unusual CA Sauv Bl. It's kind of a cross between a Mosel Kabinett and a NZ Sauv Bl. Fresh lemon and grapefruit dominate; a fruit forward style. Some spritz when opened. Could be a small amount of res sugar.

Consistent year to year, the 2016 version does not disappoint. Light in color, with nose of citrus fruits, pineapple and lemon. Palate follows the nose with a crisp, medium mouthfeel. Refreshing finish. Very good drinking Cali sb.

Faithful and reliable. A well-made, well-priced, and deliciously characteristic SB. Haven't had one for years and this one reminded me of why this is such an excellent QPR wine.

Pale yellow-green in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/limes, guava & peaches with overtones of floral notes & lemongrass, stony & a hint of minerals. Light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth, crisp, ripe fruit flavors of lemons/limes, peaches & white grapefruit with lemongrass, stony & minerals. Lingering dry finish. Drinks quite well at present but based on past experience, it should develop with an additional year or two of aging.

Similar to its 2015 sibling, the 2016 Honig Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of 95% Sauvignon Blanc, 4% Sémillon and 1% Muscat. Pale yellow-green, light-bodied, fresh and seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%), it delivers aromas and flavors of white peaches, guava, lemongrass and melon. Only 10% of this wine sees any oak, and that is in neutral oak tanks. As such, there is virtually no detectable oak. Solid in the middle and closing with a crisp, medium-length finish, this is another winner for Honig. Drink now-2019.

Last bottle. Will need to get some more from a later vintage. I had 2020 down as the last year of the drink window for this one, but it was not tired.

Nose of granny apple, minerals, and peach stone. The finish is off dry and this wine is drinking superior at this point.

A very fresh and somewhat fruity, citrus flavor. Lacking some of the grassy taste I like in a Savblanc but a nice tasty white wine.

Water clear, very pale straw. Pineapple, white peach, grapefruit. Low acids, no tannins, not sweet. Apricot. Short balanced finish.
